This Valentine's Day, ROBLOX released a plethora of hat retextures and new hats in general. While most of this year's Valentine's hats weren't limited or had as much demand as last year's (Red Sparkle Time Fedora), I personally believe this year's hats were much better than last year's.
The first Valentine's hat retexture released was the XOXO Bowtie, a retexture by stickers000. This is sticker's first retexture published, and it shows lots of effort put into it. The nice red hue has great shading, and the Xs and Os are well placed on the retexture. It was originally 50 robux, but is now offsale.
Soon after the XOXO Bowtie came out, the Sweetheart Fedora came out for 350 robux. I'm pretty sure it's a fedora retexture by ROBLOX (PM me if I'm wrong), but it looks really nice for a fedora. While I've seen Valentine's fedora retextures better than this, this hat goes great with any pink hat.
A day later, the Love Song Headphones came out for 650 robux, making them the most expensive Valentine's retexture this year. This hat's name refers to the song, "Love You Like a Love Song" by Selena Gomez. This retexture was made by NonstopEpic (yes, RN's catalog manager.) The mixture of purple and pink goes well together, along with the red hearts on the headphones. The only problem I have with this retexture is that it's way too small compared to other headphones. Like the Sweetheart Fedora, it goes great with a lot of hats.
The first non-retexture to come out was the Valentine's Heartstyle. It's a cheap 75 robux, so it's very affordable. Personally, I've never really liked hair hats. However, if you are into hair, this is worth the robux.
After the Valentine's Heartstyle came out, Love is a Battlefield came out for 100 robux. This hat's name comes from the song of the same name by Pat Benatar. This war helmet looks great for a clan costume and goes well with other helms.
8-Bit Heart is the third retexture that came out, once again made by NonstopEpic. It is 8 tix, making this the cheapest Valentine's retexture this year. The tie itself looks really cool and nostalgic for such a cheap price, but is a bit small. Still, it looks nice with almost anything.
Affectionately Armored was the only valentine's limited, originally 125 robux and 1250 in stock. Currently its selling around 300 to 400 robux. This helm looks good for valentine's day, and is very detailed, but it is not the best of helms.
The Valentine's 2013 Beanie was a cheap 10 robux when it came out. It looks nice and goes well with many valentine's hats released this year.
The last hat released was the Lovable Robot, a retexture (or technically a recolor) of the Horned Doombringer by Michael200. It looks pretty nice with other helm-type hats.
Overall; the new hats were decent, and the retextures were well done. This wasn't the best valentine's day (in my opinion), but this wasn't the worst. If one thing could be changed, there should have been more limiteds.
