ROBLOX Turkey Hunt 2013 Guide

When I say 2013, it should really have been named 'ROBLOX Turkey Hunt 2009' as it was the same exact Thanksgiving event from that year. This is not at all a criticism of the game - it remains one of my favourite admin-created holiday maps to this date. Some elements of the game have been refreshed; all three prizes were replaced. At the Turkey hunt you can earn: the Golden Pilgrim Hat, Turkey Beanie, and Apple Pie.

Gameplay

The gameplay remains fairly basic, asking players to simply collect turkeys running amok in the woods. The turkeys do not run, as such, but more glide around at speed in any given direction. Going after these delicious birds can be time consuming and frustrating especially when they keep dodging you. Players are equipped with Wind Staffs that push players away in the direction you are pointing when activated with a wave of air.

When you finally collect the turkeys, they are added to your turkey bar at the top which acts as an in-game inventory. There are three different turkeys to collect; golden turkey, sparkling turkey with top hat, and your regular turkey. The golden and sparkling turkeys reward more points to the hunters and spawn more rarely than the regular ones. Once the turkey bar is full, simply take them back to the table to 'deposit' your catch as points. Players can also gain five points from touching the black, sparking orbs that randomly spawn on the map. The pink orbs are used to teleport players directly to the table - handy if you are planning on racking up a high score. The player with the most points at the end of the round wins the 'ROBLOX Turkey Hunt Winner 2013' badge.

Turkey Beanie


To win this funky looking hat, you are required to win the 'ROBLOX Turkey Hunt Winner 2013' badge (earning the most points by the end of the round). This can prove challenging at times when you are against experienced and skilled opposition in the turkey field. Top tip: Go for the golden turkeys to increase your walk-speed!


Golden Pilgrim Hat

To win this stylish looking pilgrim hat, you are required to find the secret room inside the turkey hunter cabin and walk onto the red block. To get to this secret room you will need a friend to aid you. Stand on the table directly outside the cabin and ask your friend to blow you onto the roof using their wind staff. Once on the roof, jump down the chimney and you are within the room. Once you have touched the red block you will be teleported outside the house and will find this shiny gold hat in your inventory.

Apple Pie

To obtain this delicious looking gear item, you are required to cook 314 pies (no, I"m not kidding). To cook pies, simply walk up to the fridge and touch the door and collect a frozen pie, you are then required to go the oven to cook the pie. This will add a pie to your tally on the leaderboard - just another 313 to go eh?

War Turkey Gear Review

Hey guys, I'm back with a gear review of the "War Turkey". This weapon... is just... extreme. You'll see why. Let's get started: 


Mesh: The mesh is a turkey, who would have thought? Anyways, it is a very cool turkey, properly shaped and everything.It's pretty insane. Without the texture, it'd be pretty hard to tell what it was (like a lot of other hats/gears). But that's not bad, it's nothing to judge on. A very cool and well made mesh. 10/10.

Texture: Um. It's the colour of a stereotypical cooked Turkey, but it's a bit bland. I mean, for a war turkey, it could have some more dramatic colours on it. Not just tan. Although, the colour is accurate, slightly. It does look like a cooked turkey, and it's the thought that counts. It is a good colour, I'll give it that. 7/10.

What It Does: Okay, are you ready for your minds to be blown?

When you aim+click... IT THROWS A TURKEY. OF WAR. I can't put my finger on how much damage it does per hit, but it seems to be like maybe 10-15? Here's a video of me displaying its amazing power: (link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-PuVbfwWYE)
 

Anyways, it is a pretty cool function. It's pretty neat, so I'll give it a 10/10.

Overall: Overall, this is a pretty cool weapon. It's funny how you can throw a TURKEY OF ULTIMATE WAR at someone. The mesh is cool (and odd), the texture is accurate, and the function is WICKED. It gets an awesome 9/10.

Bargain of the Week: Thanksgiving Turkey Cap

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving yesterday! With all that turkey consumption, you need a rest; what better way to relax than shopping in the ROBLOX Catalog! As always; ROBLOX put several Thanksgiving items back on sale including gear, packages and hats! One of these hats was the Thanksgiving Turkey Hat; a retexture created by ElementXx which was published back in 2011.

The Thanksgiving Turkey Cap features a simple but effective colour scheme. It does little to distract from the main image on the texture which of course is the turkey (gobble gobble). If you look closely, you will be able to spot faint white outlines of squares and transparent wisps which are placed randomly on the texture. These add a nice touch to the hat: giving it a modernized feel. The turkey, although a google image, is placed well on the hat at an angle of around 45°. 

This hat goes great with this shirt; turning you into the perfect plump turkey - careful now, you might get eaten! For a price of R$15 it is an absolute bargain, so get yours today before it is taken off-sale until next Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Turkey Hunt 2009

The turkey hunt was great! You had to chase these little turkeys round the map and catch them to make pies once you made around 314 pies you got a badge and the pumpkin pie gear which is limited. To get the gobble gobble hat you had to have the most points at the end of a round, and finally to get the golden turkey hat you had to get someone to blow you onto the roof with the staff of winds then you had to go down the chimney to get the badge and hat.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a great time on Roblox. This year was great with lots of old and new hats being released. One of my favourites is the rohawk brave headband : it looks awesome!
