The effort was lead by our Head Battle Overseer VideoGame5, along with our other colonels they were in charge of selecting whom was eligible for the clan. Unfortunately me and SilentSwords couldn't get too involved because we are very busy working on our next big shooter 'Hex'. One thing we have always been very serious about in WIJ is that we don't use mercenaries and everybody who took part was a real member of WIJ. If you were in WIJ, had the drive to be active and knew how to fight there was a pretty good chance you were going to be selected.

Interview with Luckymaxer
Recently I caught up with the newest Gear Scripter (and also my friend), Luckymaxer. He was hired around Valentines Day and scripts the gears that come on on Fridays, which I review on my weekly Gear Friday Overview articles. Anyways, I caught up with Luckymaxer and asked him about his past on ROBLOX, and his present on... well, ROBLOX.

A Moment with Steven1411, Travel Creator
"Hello, how are you doing today?" I ask Steven. He responds after a few seconds: "Great. I suppose we'll begin?"
Steven1411 is an exhilarating example of evolution. Having joined ROBLOX in March of 2011, he has accomplished a lot: creating, maintaining, and building aircraft and airports and even some aviation groups. Recently though, it's been more about the travel than the particular sector he once specialized exclusively in. We're in a room with no doors, the room is dark with a single light. At one end of the table is myself. At the other end, no more than 20 studs away is Steven1411. Steven is wearing a 3.0 body - a suit. I get straight to the point. What follows is an in depth interview with Steven1411, an outstanding example of a ROBLOX aviation creator. Throughout the interview, he remarks to why aviation

Conversations with Myself: Limited Items (Part 1)
Conversations with Myself;
Limited Items (Part 1)
Hello, FiniteBlox here. I decided to share my opinion about the Catalog today, and thought to myself, "What better way to do that then talking to myself?" So here you have it, me talking to myself about the Catalog (specifically Limited Items).
Me:
I think having a conversation with myself is a wonderful idea.
Me:
Shut up. We're supposed to talk about the catalog.
Me:
Fine, fine. The catalog, right. I myself am a little bit of a trader, with roughly 14k RAP worth. I thought I might throw together something explaining the catalog a bit, and what makes limited items rise and fall in price.
Me:
I'll start off with the original sales of limiteds. When a limited sells out, prices skyrocket. Other users see that they missed an item, and want to try to snag it.
Me:
Yes, and when that happens, limiteds rise very fast. But on limiteds that have sold for especially low and have many owners, there are more people competing for lowest price. At benchmark numbers, such as 200, 250, 275, there will often be five or more sellers.
Me:
This severely slows down how fast the limited sells. It stays at the same price for several sales, leaving more time for people to try to sell for lower.
Me:
Lots of times, this is how a limited starts to fall to a more reasonable price. The hype slowly ends, though this can take days (or will never happen, depending on what reputation the limited has in other members of its series).
Me:
That's the beginning of a limited over-explained. When the limited is past the original hype, the demand either dies, it raises, or it lowers.
Me:
I'll begin with how they raise.
Me:
I was going to begin...
Me:
As I was saying, limiteds tend raise in price after a plummet in demand. Take the Azurewrath: Duke of Demons for example.
Me:
What exactly is the chart supposed to prove?
Me:
It's just there for reference. The Azurewrath, one of my old limiteds, is horribly low in demand. This happens when a limited's price raises faster than its demand. It sells maybe once, and owners raise prices to above what remotely makes sense. Slowly, over time, users will trade it away. The people who received it saw it and thought, "Easy profit." They combat for lowest price, and now that the price is near the RAP, it sells. This causes a huge jump in RAP. Note that this is just one way that a limited can raise.
Me:
Yeah, because we're too lazy to explain the other ways!
Me:
Sh...
Me:
So terribly lazy, in fact, that this is being split into two parts.
Me:
Part two will cover ways that limiteds lower and lose demand. That'll be all for this part, though!
.
Do you think I'm a complete noob when it comes to limiteds? PM (or tweet) me what I messed up, and I'll slap it in Part 2.
Tweet tweet. @FiniteBlox

Interview with DailyBasis
Christmas interview with DailyBasis!
Greetings to all ROBLOXians, here is a Christmas Interview from Prolixen, my first interview for Roblox News! In a server of Starbucks I managed to interview DailyBasis the millionaire Robloxian!
1) How many gifts did you obtain this year, and of them all how many were bought and how many were achieved?
I got 5, 3 were bought and 2 were achieved.
2) Did you get more gifts this year than in the Giftsplosion of 2012?
No, I got 9 in the 2012 Giftsplosion.
3) What is your opinion on the gifts this year, were they too pricey or of a bad quality? Why?
They were too pricey and bad quality. For starters, I bought a 10k gift to be awarded with a poor retexture of a 1k hat. Mainly though, I just disliked most of them.
4) Which was your favourite gift, and which was your least favourite?
Eh....Probably the gift that gave the golden shades, they match my necklace and fedora. The least favourite, hmm....The Merrywrath Gift, it is ugly and was too pricey.
5) What Christmas items from previous years would you like to see back on-sale this year?
Both the items I would like to see back on-sale were from 2010, the Igloo of Solitude (TBC) and the Snowball Machine Gun (OBC). Although, if they went back on-sale I would want them to be selling for everyone not just TBC/OBC, although they would stay at their original prices.
6) In your opinion, were the gifts this year easier to get or harder to get and why?
Harder. Hard achievement with little hints and very expensive.
7) What's your favourite part of Christmas?
Hmm, getting the decorations set up.
Hmm, getting the decorations set up.
8) If next year you could decide how people obtain a gift, what would you do?
An idea for a gift? Uh...Perhaps a gift that a bunch of Knockouts or Wipeouts was needed, say 100,000 Knockouts.
9) Do you think, that overall, the gift requirements were fair this year?
They were fair, but hard. Poor hints.
They were fair, but hard. Poor hints.
10) What gift box design is your favourite this year?
DevEx Gift. I like black gifts, makes it look mysterious.
Thanks for reading Robloxians!

Interview with EmeraldRooster!
Season's greetings ROBLOXians! Today I bring you the second gift interview of the holidays. I managed to catch up with ROBLOX forumer EmeraldRooster who was more than willing to answer a few questions!
1) How many gifts did you obtain this year? Are you pleased with this figure?
I obtained 8 gifts. I am pleased since in previous years it was harder for people to obtain gifts.
2) Of these gifts, how many did you earn and how many did you purchase?
I earned 7 and purchased 1.
3) What is your view on the gift prices this year?
I thought most of the gifts were reasonably priced.
4) Of the gift items released this year, which is your favourite? Why?
My favorite is probably the sparkle coal. I am a gear collector myself and most of the items that come out of gifts are hats and not gear.

Interview with jojods1125!
1) How many gifts did you obtain this year? How did this compare to 2012's Giftsplosion?
I obtained 11/13 gifts this year. The ones that I missed were the sound gift and DevEx gift. Last year I got all of the gifts excluding the "Big One", so I would say it's about the same.
2) How many of these gifts did you earn and how many did you purchase?
Of the eleven gifts I got, I only bought the Approval gift. All of the rest I earned.
3) What is your opinion on the gift prizes this year?
The prizes this year are pretty cool. I like how some of them (so far) aren't technically Christmas-related, so I'm able to wear them all year round.
4) Out of all the gift items released so far, what is your favourite? Why?
5) Which gift item do you think was most worth its price tag?
As I said before, I'm overjoyed that ROBLOX made another Dominus Headphones. I always assumed that if they were to make another one, it would be worth at least 10k, and it would definitely not come out of a gift. Considering the fact that it was only 5k robux, or 1,250 if you earned it, it was totally worth the price.
6) What was your favourite gift to earn this year? Why?
I would have to say either the Achievements of the Populace. The badges weren't too hard to earn, yet some weren't too easy. It was an almost perfect mix of difficulty, and the prize inside was worth it.
7) Which is gift box design is your favourite? Why?
The Eventful Gift, by far. I love the mix of the different shades of blue and the various Christmas symbols on it.
8) In your opinion, were the Giftsplosion achievements this year fair? Why?
Well, it depends on your definition of "fair." If you believe people who earned the robux needed to get the DevEx gift deserved something, or if you think people who spent multiple hours in TWH deserve another prize, then it's fair. But if you think people, no matter the join date, deserve a shot at the gifts, then no, it's not fair. As for me, I believe that if you put in the hard work to get the robux or badges needed to get those gifts, then you deserve something for it.
9) If you were to devise a gift achievement for next year's giftsplosion, what would it be?
Usually, the gifts are based on features that were added in the previous year, and since Universes are coming out soon, maybe for making a Universe? It would be a simple gift to earn, and anyone who actively builds should earn it. Yeah, I think that'd be a good gift achievement.
10) If you were to design a gift box texture for next year's giftsplosion, what would it look like? Just for the sake of staying constant, I'll think of a texture for a Universe Gift box. Maybe something futuristic, like along the lines of the iEgg? I think that would be a nice gift for any sci-fi fans on ROBLOX.

Community Article: Interview with Carbon131!
PixelTM (Formerly Kintozi): Who/What inspired you to make these amazing games?
Carbon131: I have always enjoyed making people happy. Whether it is making them laugh or just making something they enjoy. This is what lead me to spending hundreds of hours building and scripting on ROBLOX. I don't necessarily think my games are amazing, I am simply glad people enjoy them.
PixelTM: What is Battleblox?
Carbon131: It is a domination type game where players must capture their opponents flag and also kill them to gain points. The team with the highest points after the round is up, wins. It has tons of vehicles ranging from Jets, Boats, Jet Skis, soon-to-be Humvees, and possibly even helicopters. I hope to add a variety of weapons as the game progresses.
PixelTM: What are your final hopes for Battleblox and Jet Wars: Advanced Battle?
Carbon131: For it to be lag free. The biggest thing I struggle with on ROBLOX is making places that don't struggle with lag. This, however, is an issue with many moving parts. With multiple jets, boats, land vehicles, players, etc., moving all at once, it is a lot for ROBLOX to handle.
PixelTM: Do you have any words of inspiration for hopeful game builders/programmers?
Carbon131: When you look at the giants of ROBLOX, i.e, the big game creators, just remember, they were once small as well. Start small, then go big. Quality is always better than quantity. If you make a place with a few awesome weapons and gameplay, odds are it is going to do much better than a place with tons of meh weapons, and poor gameplay.
This community written article was provided by PixelTM. We look forward to seeing more content from him in the future!

Interview with PoliticalJustice
1) How many gifts did you purchase this year? How much total Robux did this amount to?
I purchased all of them. With over 596k, I didn't really check the prices of the gifts, you know? I just clicked buy.
2) Would you say this Robux was well spent? Why?
Well, not really. I could've cashed out, which is what I will be doing with my remaining R$532,871
3) Which was your favourite gift item? Why?
My favorite gift item was "Sinister V". Beauty comes within simplicity.
4) In comparison with previous Halloween gifts, what is your opinion on this year's?
This year, the gifts were in fact a bit creative, although ROBLOX did get lazy, and took advantage of a copyright loophole. This is why "Shriek" was released. We all know where it came from.
5) I understand you were the user who leaked the 'Ghostdeeri' texture. Could you tell us about the immediate reaction of the community and the action taken by ROBLOX?
People were downright annoyed, and some were excited. A "Dusekkar" retexture pushed buyers away, while at the same time, boosting it. The action taken against me was fair. I was warned thrice and when I leaked it on ATR, stating I was warned but decided to post anyways, my alt was deleted, and my account was placed under an investigation, which was later lifted 5 hours later. I've learned never to leak again.
6) How did you find the Ghostdeeri texture?
Well, if I shared this information, then all of ROBLOX could leak. It really isn't that difficult. Plugin scanners help a lot.
7) Would you say ROBLOX need to tighten their security in terms of pre-released catalog assets?
Deleting an alt, and placing my account investigation is proof enough that they are obviously taking more steps to it. It's considered "site exploitation".
8) When the Big BOOtiful Gift of Destiny opened to reveal the Doomsekkar, what were your views?
I was glad, because it looked better than Ghostdeeri. However, the threads on "Let's Make a Deal" showed extreme anger towards me, because textures were changed.
9) What suggestions and ideas do you have for the Halloween Gift event next year?
To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't change it. It's a good system. 13 days of gifts, and an event with free items.
It's unfortunate, however, that I will not be around, as I will be a full active duty United States Air Force Airman 1st class.
10) If you could sum up the Halloween Gifts 2013 in one word, what would it be?
Predictable.

3
2) What was your favourite gift box? Why?
Sinister Gift of Autumn because a sinister came out of it
3) Which gift out of the 13 do you think best deserved its price tag? Why?
Sinister Gift of Autumn because the sinister that came out looks pretty cool
4) What was your view on the variety of items this year?
I didn't really see much variety because of multiple gifts with the same type of hat (shades and tophats)
5) Last year a couple of gifts housed gear items. Do you think there should have been some this year? Why?
No, I don't think there should have been some gear in some of the gifts because most players (including me of course) just wanted hats xD
6) What was your favourite gift item this year? Why?
Sinister Gift of Autumn because a Sinister looking like a Darkseed came out (Sinister V).
7) How much Robux did you spend on gifts this year? Was it worth it?
About 2000. Yes, it was worth it because I got all the hats I was expecting.

Big BOOtiful Gift of Destiny because it had a Halloween version of the Dusekkar (Doomsekkar).
9) If ROBLOX were to do another Halloween gift event next year, what should they do differently?
They should make every gift different. For example: if there was a gift containing shades, then there should be no other gifts with shades in them.
10) And finally, could you sum up the Halloween gift event 2013 in one word?
Good

Exclusive BLOXcon London Interview Tonitoni!
At BLOXcon London I met hundreds of avid ROBLOX fans, and got to talk with countless readers of Roblox News. It was an invaluable experience which brought to my attention what readers wanted to see, but also to mark achievements of contributes to the blog. I got the chance to interview a number of ROBLOXians about their experiences at the BLOXcon and on the site in general. There was an overwhelming positive atmosphere to the RAF Museum with smiles all around and was an excellent opportunity to advertise the blog, job positions and talk about events we have hosted such as the RN Egg Hunt 2013. Perhaps the most exciting aspect of the day was meeting the staff running the show, but also getting to talk to 'famous' or well-known users, such as TheGamer101 (who is actually two twins) and of course: Tonitoni.
This post is long overdue I am aware, as BLOXcon London was over two months ago. The video was uploaded in August, but I forgot to make a formal blog post about it. So here it is, an interview with the world-renowned clan owner, and fellow ROBLOXian: Tonitoni. In this interview with discuss his ROBLOX career, how he got into clans and why he eventually left them. The main focus of the clan discussing revolves around 'The Robloxian Army' otherwise known as the 'TRA'. We also talked about his winning BLOXXY entry: Helm's Deep which is an intriguing project based on the location from the Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers - an excellent film might I add. to

Place Creator Interview: Little Big Garden
Today I bring you an interview with game developer: rudolph101, the creator of Little Big Garden: The Quest Adventure!
rudolph101: Hi there!
DDude9091: I'm going to be inquiring about your most popular game so far, Little Big Garden: The Quest Adventure
rudolph101: Okay then! Go ahead!
DDude9091: Let's get started a question about the past. What was the first actual game you made?
rudolph101: That was probably 'Who Killed Mario' which I spent years updating! I was so eager to get it to the front page and finally did back in December 2011! It was even reviewed on here! One of my proudest moments!
DDude9091: Reviewed by Banjobug, I remember that. Wasn't necessarily your best building, may I say, but the scripting was flawless, and very creative. I thoroughly enjoyed playing it myself.
rudolph101: Ahaha! Thank you very much! Yeah the building wasn't too good, although I am thinking of updating the game soon! Glad you liked it! I was trying to make it as original and unique as possible! I like to think I succeeded in doing so!
DDude9091: So, let's get to the game that's being reviewed here. Did you have any help creating it?
rudolph101: I did have a little bit of help as when my scripts didn't work I resorted to the forums to get advice. I also had help from my
friend, veng2 who helped me test after pretty much every update! Although I built everything myself and scripted myself!
DDude9091: And ads? I do believe I saw an advertisement for LBG.
rudolph101: Yeah I advertised it for about 20,000 tickets each time. I attempted to add some humor into my advertisement as I'm terrible at doing anything too artistic.
rudolph101's advertisement |
DDude9091: When I played this for the first time, I noticed that you have similarities between your games. Repetition of certain types of quests, I suppose, like the logic puzzles.
rudolph101: Yeah there are some similarities between my games. Things that work well in some are improved in another game! Although I also come up with new ideas for every game I make!
DDude9091: What inspired the idea of LBG?
rudolph101: Close to the start of the year my friend and I went on a Toy Story inspired game where you had to complete quests. In this game you were small. The problem was you could finish quests without starting them, and they were just a bit boring really. So instantly I came up with the idea to make my own quest game, but where everything was scripted well and with a variety of quests.
DDude9091: Any future games that you've been thinking about creating?
rudolph101: Well I've started building a new quest game for Christmas due to popular demand. I'm also thinking about building another quest game next year, another obstacle course and another secret idea.
DDude9091: What are your thoughts on the Developer's Exchange Program?
rudolph101: I think it's a brilliant idea as it will encourage more users to perhaps put more effort into creating games and clothes! I'm not too sure about how it works at the moment but I'm sure it'll be great! I can't wait to see it in action!
DDude9091: I think that just about wraps it up. Have a nice day, rudolph!
rudolph101: Thank you DDude! Have a nice day too!
