The Witching Hour Prizes: Overview

With the closing of The Witching Hour, there are obviously prizes as we are aware now. Without further ado, let's get on with it;

Halloween Checkered Bow Tie (1 Bloxikin)

Exactly as it says, this nicely done bow tie was given to anyone who collected at least one bloxikin in the game. A great prize for minimal effort in the Witching Hour, making the process of performing just a few quests a rewarding one.

Spookoween Hat (5 Bloxikins)

This.. slightly worse quality than the bow tie hat was rewarded to those who got 5 bloxikins, hooray? The texture and design is okay, but the mesh is a bit odd. I think it's supposed to be a bowler? I can't quite be sure of this.

Amethyst Vampire Collar (10 Bloxikins)

Purple colored version of the vampire collar works quite well with some of the higher-tiered prizes and other hats. This hat mesh is great as a whole to use in combos with shades and scalp items.

Bat Phones (15 Bloxikins)

A purple recoloured version of the BatPhones created by myself (arbirator). I won't say too much about the design, as I obviously liked it in its final iteration - but its a good gesture by ROBLOX by giving headphones out to BC and non-BC players alike.

Noir Riddling Skull (20 Bloxikins)

Certainly a pleasant surprise to see the Riddling Skull returning, this time back in a "black" noir-ish grey. A great prize for ROBLOXians who played the Witching Hour. The texture is slightly shaded, providing a fresh look on a old classic. It serves as a revival of the Halloweens of old, bringing a little nostalgia back to me. -Sniff sniff-

Purple Pumpkin Inferno (25 Bloxikins)

I never really cared much for the original "Pumpkin Inferno" and it's still the same with this, though I will say the purple flames could make for some interesting hat combinations. Having said that, it features a nice texture and interesting

Cloak of the Living Dead (30 Bloxikins)

An interesting prize certainly, with the first real "cloak" that came out last Saturday this comes along on a Tuesday and I quite like it. It was retextured from the 'Cloak of the Undying' - a ROBLOX gear, so it's interesting that this cloak is a hat item.

Orange Banded Top Hat (31 Bloxikins and Bloxhilda defeated)

Finally, we come to the Orange Banded Top Hat. It's no surprise to most since tophats usually range around 5,000 R$ so this is quite a hefty final prize I'd say. Anyone who spent a long time on the game will be pleased with this prize.

These prizes were truly great this Halloween - players got to keep both their BLOXikins and hat rewards! Considering Sorcus added teleportation to past-visited locations in the Witching Hour - both NBC and BC alike had almost equal chances of collecting all 31 BLOXikins and receiving an awesome Orange Banded Top Hat - a great gesture to the enthusiastic and die hard ROBLOX fans. In that respect, the catalog team have been especially generous in their prize giving this year - let's hope this trend carries on into the Christmas Giftsplosion!

Hat Review: Halloweentime Top Hat

Halloweentime Top Hat
Halloweentime Top Hat
Mesh/Texture: 10/10
The Halloweentime Top Hat is probably one of the best halloween top hats made this year out of 8 that I counted. The top hat itself is decorated with two different hues of purple going up and down the top of the hat and sideways on the bottom. A bow is tied at the back of the hat, also purple. Instead of having a bland color as a band, the top hat is banded by what looks like a sawed-off part of a pumpkin adding an element never before seen on top hats. As the name would imply, the top hat has an orange[maybe gold] pocket watch glued to the front with a pumpkin face in the center. The time says 3:35, for anyone interested.

Price: 10/10
The price of the top hat was definitely a fair one. The price was a very low 125 robux. Though this is a bit of an above-average price, it is very cheap for a top hat, especially one as good-looking as this one. It's definitely a bargain compared to having to pay 250 robux for the very awful-looking "Creepy Scarecrow" which I covered in a previous article. The top hat is offsale now with 1,728 sales. If you bought the top hat while it was on sale, I'd say you got quite a good deal. It looks good on your character, looks nice in seasons other than Halloween, and was fairly cheap.

Overall: 10/10
One of the best non-bloxikin/gift hats released this October. Unlike many other Halloween items, this looks good any time of the month, not just during the Halloween season. The price was quite cheap, and if you bought it before it went offsale you got a good bargain for such a fancy-looking item. I give this hat a 10/10, and I hope to see more items like it next year.

Hat review: Creepy Scarecrow

Creepy Scarecrow
Creepy Scarecrow
Mesh/Texture: 5/10
The mesh, texture, and basic appearance of this hat is horrible. The head is deformed and looks nothing like you would find on a real-life scarecrow. I can understand that they wanted to add a "creepy" element for Halloween, but deforming the head makes it more unattractive than scary. The only thing I like is that the hat is somewhat detailed, with lines on the face and stitches over the mouth. The mesh is blurry in many parts, though, making it look very unprofessionally done.

Price: 4/10
The price of this hideous hat is 250 robux. Not a lot of money, but the hat looks terrible in the catalog and on your character. Not worth 250 robux, not at all. I believe a smaller price of 100 or maybe even 50 robux would do this hat justice. 250 is simply too much out of your budget for such an ugly hat.

Overall: 4.5/10
The hat, basically, is terrible. As I said, making the hat look "scary" would be understandable, but they just made it look downright hideous. I would not have suggested spending 250 robux on this poorly-made Halloween hat, even if it is going offsale. It looks poor on your character, is unevenly textured, and it's not that rare.

Interview with PoliticalJustice

PoliticalJusticeThis Hallow's Eve I bring you a special interview with none other than PoliticalJustice - the user who leaked the rumoured 'Ghostdeeri' texture. Check it out below!

1) How many gifts did you purchase this year? How much total Robux did this amount to?
I purchased all of them. With over 596k, I didn't really check the prices of the gifts, you know? I just clicked buy.

2) Would you say this Robux was well spent? Why?
Well, not really. I could've cashed out, which is what I will be doing with my remaining R$532,871

3) Which was your favourite gift item? Why?
My favorite gift item was "Sinister V". Beauty comes within simplicity.

4) In comparison with previous Halloween gifts, what is your opinion on this year's?
This year, the gifts were in fact a bit creative, although ROBLOX did get lazy, and took advantage of a copyright loophole. This is why "Shriek" was released. We all know where it came from.

5) I understand you were the user who leaked the 'Ghostdeeri' texture. Could you tell us about the immediate reaction of the community and the action taken by ROBLOX?
People were downright annoyed, and some were excited. A "Dusekkar" retexture pushed buyers away, while at the same time, boosting it. The action taken against me was fair. I was warned thrice and when I leaked it on ATR, stating I was warned but decided to post anyways, my alt was deleted, and my account was placed under an investigation, which was later lifted 5 hours later. I've learned never to leak again.

6) How did you find the Ghostdeeri texture?
Well, if I shared this information, then all of ROBLOX could leak. It really isn't that difficult. Plugin scanners help a lot.

7) Would you say ROBLOX need to tighten their security in terms of pre-released catalog assets?
Deleting an alt, and placing my account investigation is proof enough that they are obviously taking more steps to it. It's considered "site exploitation".

8) When the Big BOOtiful Gift of Destiny opened to reveal the Doomsekkar, what were your views?
I was glad, because it looked better than Ghostdeeri. However, the threads on "Let's Make a Deal" showed extreme anger towards me, because textures were changed.

9) What suggestions and ideas do you have for the Halloween Gift event next year?
To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't change it. It's a good system. 13 days of gifts, and an event with free items.
It's unfortunate, however, that I will not be around, as I will be a full active duty United States Air Force Airman 1st class.

10) If you could sum up the Halloween Gifts 2013 in one word, what would it be?
Predictable.

Thanks for reading!

Interview with Dulexo!

Greetings fellow ROBLOXians, today I bring you the second Halloween Gift interview! This time I caught up with well known forumer: Deluxo.

Dulexo1) How many gifts did you purchase this year? How much total Robux did this amount to?
I purchased 5 gifts, with about 2,500 ROBUCK's.

2) Would you say this Robux was well spent? Why?
No... The only item I even had any attraction to was the spooks top hat.

3) Which was your favourite gift item? Why?
Neither I would have to say.

4) In comparison with previous Halloween gifts, what is your opinion on this year's?
Pretty bad, last years gifts were a little bit better for a lower price, it looks like if the prices had raised and you received lower worth items.

5) Out of the gifts you purchased, which what was the best value item? Why?
Probably the spooks top hat, heheheh.

6) This year's gift event lacked gear items, what are your views on this?
I don't really buy gear, the only gear I use are energy swords and power ups, ie; gravity spring.

7) What was the best looking gift box this year?
I'd say the shady gift of spiders, it looked pretty cool.

8) What are your views on the Doomsekkar hat?
It threw the dusekbar through the window!

9) What should ROBLOX do differently next year?
HALLOWEEN PAINTBALL, AND A HALLOWEEN EGG HUNT!!!

10) If you could sum up the Halloween Gifts 2013 in one word, what would it be?
I'd have to say.................. Spooky.

Interview with ObsoleteCoolguy!

Today I bring you a Halloween Gift themed interview with All Things ROBLOX forumer: ObsoleteCoolguy!
ObsoleteCoolguy
1) How many gifts did you purchase this Halloween?
3

2) What was your favourite gift box? Why?
Sinister Gift of Autumn because a sinister came out of it

3) Which gift out of the 13 do you think best deserved its price tag? Why?
Sinister Gift of Autumn because the sinister that came out looks pretty cool

4) What was your view on the variety of items this year?
I didn't really see much variety because of multiple gifts with the same type of hat (shades and tophats)

5) Last year a couple of gifts housed gear items. Do you think there should have been some this year? Why?
No, I don't think there should have been some gear in some of the gifts because most players (including me of course) just wanted hats xD

6) What was your favourite gift item this year? Why?
Sinister Gift of Autumn because a Sinister looking like a Darkseed came out (Sinister V).

7) How much Robux did you spend on gifts this year? Was it worth it?
About 2000. Yes, it was worth it because I got all the hats I was expecting.

8) In terms of value for money, which was the best gift? Why?
Big BOOtiful Gift of Destiny because it had a Halloween version of the Dusekkar (Doomsekkar).

9) If ROBLOX were to do another Halloween gift event next year, what should they do differently?
They should make every gift different. For example: if there was a gift containing shades, then there should be no other gifts with shades in them.

10) And finally, could you sum up the Halloween gift event 2013 in one word?
Good

Thanks for reading!

Gear Review: Hallo-Cycle

Hello! Pbjms here with another gear review. Sorry for no major "reviewing" posts lately, as the Halloween Events of BLOXtober have really been inspiring me to write about them. Anyway, along with the Halloween Event's release came a near gear to help transportation - the Hallo-Cycle. I'm going to set up this article a bit differently, just as a little heads up so nobody gets confused.

Hallo-Cycle
"Hey! You are on fire! Use this cycle to speed through ROBLOX's gigantic Halloween level"

So, over the weekend during the Halloween Event's BETA testing, ROBLOX released a gear to help transportation. It is another motorcycle gear, which has only one main point; to help you get around the BLOXtober 2013's event faster. It's use in any other game is quite pointless in my opinion as you can get cheaper alternatives. In the released version of the event, it usually lags very much, and flings into the sky, but hey - nothing's perfect.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The cycle is priced at 999 R$, which is an odd price, really. Why not just 1,000 R$, you may ask. Well the answer is simple: I don't know. Anyway, for a regular motorcycle that really just helps your walkspeed, it's too much. But, under the circumstances that it helps you get around the event much quicker, the price is more reasonable.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The look of the big wheel is VERY cool. It is shaped like a normal motorcycle that we may see out on the streets during our normal lives, but the texture is what makes it stand out. The metal of it is orange like a pumpkin, while the seat and handles are purple. There is fire on the sides, and a large engine underneath. The cool thing in game is the shear amount of fire that comes out of the back of the bike. It speeds up the transportation speed of the ROBLOXian letting them get somewhere in less than a 1/4 of the time it would take them to walk.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you were to ask me, and you really look forward to collecting every BLOXikin this event, this motorcycle is a must-have. It will help you SO much, because you know, walking on ROBLOX for hours isn't really the best thing to do in your free time.

~8.75/10~

Halloween 2013: The Witching Hour Guide

Halloween 2013: The Witching Hour

Halloween 2013: The Witching Hour_Image

Hello! Recently, ROBLOX release their Halloween Event, The Witching Hour. The goal of the Event is to explore through a GIANT map (20,000 x 20,000 Studs), collecting loot in houses and completing quests by admins. Once you completely finish the admin's quest, you will get their "BLOXikin," once you have all of the BLOXikins, you will then harness the power to defeat the evil Bloxhilda and save Bloxburg. So, for this post I'm going to be going over some of the major aspects of the game; Admins and their Quests, The Shop, and The Map.

Halloween Hat Review: Doomsekkar

Doomsekkar

Hello readers! Chubbs21 back with a Halloween Hat review! Today I'll be reviewing the Doomsekkar, a hat that came out of the Big BOOtiful Gift of Destiny. The gift cost 31,000R$ and is an evil version of the Dusekkar.

Mesh: 10/10
This mesh is actually meshes from two very classic series of hats; the pumpkin is part of the Pumpkin series including Classic Pumpkin, Darkseed, Eerie, and Blizzaria, and the antlers are part of the Antler hat series including Wanwood Antlers, Silverthorn Antlers, and Candy Cane Antlers. Together, they make a spooky and classic mesh that looks really cool!
The pumpkin part is just an average pumpkin face with a cool carved face. The antlers aren't like the usual antler hat because they stick out more, but it is more fitting to the hat overall.

Texture: 9/10
The texture on the Doomsekkar is just a recolor of the Dusekkar, but honestly it's pulled off well with a nice evil look to it. The pumpkin itself is a nice dark purple and the inside is a light green, almost like the ROBLOX Zombie color. The antlers are just a normal black with nothing special about them but I'm glad there isn't.

Money Worth: 9/10
The gift that this hat came out of, the Big BOOtiful Gift of Destiny, cost 31,000 robux. Every year on Halloween, the "Big Gift" always cost 31,000. The first two years, it was a Dominus. Now since there is literally five domini, ROBLOX decided to switch it up. Lots of people expected a new Dusekkar because the description of the Gift and the Dusekkar are both from The Tick. The Doomsekkar, in my opinion, is well worth the money. The original Dusekkar was 10,000 robux, also from a gift, and had more owners than Doomsekkar (although time has passed and there are many users who have gotten banned or quit with it so it is unknown if it is rarer or not.) Lots of robloxians love purple, and the green matches quite well to give a spooky zombie look to it.

Overall: 9/10
This hat is probably the best hat to come out of a Halloween Big gift, ever. It's the third rarest gift of both Halloween and Christmas gifts (falling behind Dominus Messor and Red Domino), and most people have a positive reaction to it. Usually people thing ROBLOX ruins a classic by releasing a retexture from a gift (cough Dominus cough Domino Crown cough) but this year, ROBLOX pulled it off by making an evil version of the Dusekkar.

Happy Haloween!

BLOXTober Gifts; The Contents

With the BLOXTober gifts all opened now, it's time to examine what actually came out of them. Enough rambling, let's get on with it shall we? (poor formatting and opinions beyond this point. also note these were done on different days, etc)

Gift of the Dark Night                                                                      Night Bat Shades
As the first gift, obviously there wasn't much to be expected from a 100 R$ price tag but it was actually surprisingly decent even though it was kind of obvious from the gift's description as to what it was. Personally, I like the Night Bat Shades, easily some of the better shades to come out in a while.

Gift of the Survivor                                                                          Tiger's Eye Eye

This one I'm sure everyone could see coming a mile away, especially due to the hints given on the gift with the eyes and the description. Also if you'd look at last year's gifts.. Anyway, the confusingly named Tiger's Eye Eye I actually like better than the Ochre Eye but that's probably due to this one being a "proper eye", good job ROBLOX.

Gift of Ex-fear-ience                                                                       Vlad The Impaler, VIII
Another coffin? My least favorite gift thus far honestly, mostly because it warranted another infamous Vlad The Impaler hat. Specifically, the eighth.

Shady Gift of Spiders                                                                                Spider Shades

The Shady Gift of Spiders, not sure what to think on this one. 300 R$ seemed a bit much for shades even if they were well made. But honestly ROBLOX could have done more with this gift than just, that..

Gift of the Merry Prankster                                                        The Merry Prankster

Torn on this one honestly, I'd say I'm satisfied but I can't deny I wanted more but what came out was sort of surprising and unexpected, I like it to say the least.

Gift of Forbidden Magic                                                     Dr. Spooks Magic Top Hat
Something having to do more with voodoo or something with gold was expected, but what I got is excellent nonetheless. For 350 R$
I'd go as far as to say this is one of my favorite top hats ROBLOX has made besides the Green Banded Tophat. Kudos, kudos.

Horror of the Pack Gift                                                    Team Jacob...?  White Fang
What is this, I'm not even going to start. Okay, composing myself a bit it appears this gift contained (unfortunately) an okay...? package. The legs and arms seem okay.

Gift of the Halloween Fedora                                               Jack O Lantern Fedora
So it wasn't a troll after all, interesting. 750 R$ is a bit much for something of this low quality though. Perhaps 500 would have been better? Dunno, sort of torn on this one.

Sinister Gift of Autumn                                                                                   Sinister V
Sinister V, Vendetta, Violet, Vengeance? Who knows, but all I can say it's perfect. The lighter colors are odd in comparison to the broad, striking colors of the rest of the Sinister series though. But nonetheless, by the far the coolest of the 3, and now 4.

Elegant Gift of the Mad Scientist                                             Frankenstein Top Hat

I would almost go as to say this is a rip-off for 1,500 R$ because even though this top hat looks nice it's not exactly up to snuff with it's price.. I don't doubt there are those that like it though, so to each their own?

Shrieking Gift of Doom                                                                                       Shriek
A rip-off? No, I'd say it's more of the problem being the hat is way too tall. While it does look a bit terrifying, the problem is (again) it's too tall and the "black" on it is a bit odd to say the least. It's a mixed bag.

Fancy Gift of Fright                                                        Sharp Dressed Pumpkin Man
"cause every ghoul'n'girl is crazy 'bout a sharp dressed pumpkin man" Song parodies aside, this is sort of what I expected, but for 5,000 R$ oh boy this probably isn't what people wanted. I like the idea behind the item though, if only it was a bowler and bow combo..

Big BOOtiful Gift of Destiny                                                                     Doomsekkar
Last but not least, the always fun "big" gift! Certainly while certainly less festive than the others what came out is sort of what I was expecting even though it wasn't Ghostdeeri. But what did come out, is interesting. The Doomsekkar, the "opposite" to the Dusekkar I suppose? Personally I like it, even if the fire only shows up on your avatar.

That wraps it up, the gifts this year I would say are a mixed bag, with some good, and some bad. But more good than last year. A lot of wasted R$ is to be taken in account for though with the fancy gift though, ouch. Although, about 7 or 8/13 gifts were good so that's a bigger ratio than last year if it matters at all now. Can't wait until christmas, even though honestly Halloween will likely have the better items but oh well!

Hat Review: Spiderweb Fedora

Spiderweb Fedora

Spiderweb Fedora
Mesh & Texture: 6/10
Even though it's a fedora, which is sort of the symbol of wealth on roblox, I found it very unimpressive. The mesh looks brand-new. It may be a reused mesh, but if it is I've never seen it before. The texture basically just looks unappealing. When my hat notifier first told me about this hat coming out, I immediately checked out what it looked like on ROBLOX's profile. I didn't see any of the spiderwebs at all because they're so dull and are barely visible at first glance. Even when I stopped erroring and was finally able to view the item at full size, the spiderwebs were still difficult to see because they're so transparent. The red band on the fedora is a dark, dull shade of red. Despite a couple of flaws, it does look pretty awesome on your character, and it is a fedora.

Price: 8/10
The Spiderweb Fedora is priced at 500 robux, which I find pretty fair. The reason it should've been lower, though, is that everybody is[or at least was] spending money on halloween gifts, emptying their wallets to get every last prize, leaving few robux for non-gift items. It should've been in the 200 - 250 robux range so people could buy a decent-looking fedora and still have some spending money left over. Still, though, I think the price is fair considering it is a fedora and probably a halloween exclusive.

Overall: 7/10
Even though it isn't the most appealing fedora, with the spider webs barely being visible, it's still a cool item to wear and to own and the price is pretty fair. I wouldn't really suggest buying it as profitable halloween-themed limiteds are sure to be coming due to the end of the gifts.

BLOXTober Costume Contest

BLOXTober:
Halloween Costume Contest

Costume Contest

Hello, Robloxians. During this spooky month of the year, BLOXTober, ROBLOX has decided to release something new, an official Costume Contest!

I know you're probably wondering, "Why enter a Halloween Costume Contest??" If you aren't wondering, then start wondering, because that's what this article will be about. I will mostly just be recapping the important parts of this blogpost, so if you want a more in depth look at this, read that.
pbjms
My entree, if anybody cares to know.

First of all, here is how you enter:

  • Dress your character in a costume and save it as an outfit.
  • Using the dropdown gear next to the outfit, click “Download as image” and save the image to your computer (important: do not change the name of the file)
  • Go to the contest site, enter the required information and upload the image you just saved

So, now to answer that very important question that I doubt any of you have, "Why enter a Halloween Costume Contest??" Well, there are just a few reasons, really, most of them ending in fame from being in the blog.

1.) Exclusive Virtual Item

Yeah, the top three winners get an exclusive virtual item. It is unknown what that item is, though. I do suggest trying though, as the virtual item, whatever it is, will be EXTREMELY rare. Only three out of millions will own it, and if it ever goes limited (which I doubt), it will make a ton of money.

2.) The Halloween Event

According to the Blogpost, the winners will have a special feature dedicated towards them in the Halloween Event. If any ROBLOXian wears the winner's outfit, they will get a special boost in the game, unknown as to now. So really, you will pretty much get a free bonus in the event.

3.) Fame

Yeah. You will be in the Blogpost next week, which will most likely give you some fame. And fame is always good.

So, if you want a chance to get a ruper rare virtual item, free bonus prizes in the event, and all around fame, I highly suggest you take a chance with the contest.

Good luck!

Halloween Gift Guessers: Big BOOtiful Gift of Destiny

WE HAVE THE PENTAGON'S TOP CRYPTOLOGISTS WORKING 24/7 TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE HECK THE GIFT EVEN IS!

On the thirteenth day of BLOXTober the Big BOOtiful Gift of Destiny was released. This gift costs 31,000R$ and is the final gift for the Halloween season! Two years ago, ROBLOX began making gifts a Halloween tradition too. And that year, they made a high-priced, 31,000R$ gift, which people call the "Big Gift" which contained a Dominus Messor inside. The next year they did it again and inside was Dominus Vespertilio. This year,  ROBLOX has done it again, but who knows what's inside? Let's crack it down.

Chubbs21's Theory:
For the past 2 years we have seen a Dominus come out of the Big Gift. In the gift boxes, they gave three options, a Domino Crown, a Dominus, or something silly. This year, it gives no hint to either. As it still isn't clear, this may or may not happen. The description is a reference from The Tick, a superhero. It includes the number 52,000 which is the price of another Limited U Dominus if there ever is another. (Add 13k every time) If it is a Dominus, chances are it's Purple as that color hasn't been used yet in the Dominus Series.

This gift could be a Domino Crown, it would be the first in ROBLOX Halloween Gifts. Last year a fellow user made a Black Iron Domino Crown at around Halloween time. Shedletsky happened to see it and really liked it, but it wasn't the big gift. Will this year be the year?

Since there is no given theories in the description, this could be anything. It could be a Dominus or a Domino Crown. It can even be a rumored Ghosdeerie or Dual Ghostwalkers. It can even be a new ... of the Federation Crown. There really are no hints, so I will guess a Domino Crown. Absolutely nothing hints in any specific direction.

Arbirator's Theory:

Regarding the gift's description, the fact that the traditional 'this gift could one of a number of items' has been scrapped speaks for itself. This act of abandoning the description in favour of a more cryptic clue hints that the traditional way of doing things is being left behind, and probably the traditional items too. With this whole new approach, it is unlikely that a Dominus is wrapped up within the gift box, as it seems as if they wish to leave the whole era behind. A Dominus will not be released for the third year in a row (praise Shedletsky!)

I heard from an unspecified source that they had asked the ROBLOX administrators at BLOXcon if any more Dominuses will be released and their answer was simply 'no more Dominuses. If this is true, then clearly we will be expecting one of two items - a Dusekkar, the famed original item symbolising Matt Dusek whom I met at BLOXcon London (he's a great guy).

My bets would be on a new Dusekkar retexture, as the I believe the Domino days are over (that was close to a song lyric). This was indicated by the remaining Domino Crowns being made limited around the same period, suggesting that BrightEyes wanted to finally get that out of the way before moving on to new things.

I'm not even going to mention Dual Ghostwalkers, that is just too depressing a subject.

NonstopEpic's Theory:

In previous years, ROBLOX has usually made the description of big halloween gifts as something along the lines of "This is either a dominus, a domino crown, or [insert terrible item here]". However, this time the big gift's description has instead been changed to a quote from cartoon superhero "the Tick", who is a spoof of common cartoon superheroes. At first, this may seem like ROBLOX is not trying to give any clues as to what's in the gift. Also, most likely to throw people off, the gift's name has "BOOtiful" in the title, so it could be ghost-related, the gift is named "Batbox" in game like last year's gift, and the gift's mesh and texture both refer to it as a "Pumpkin gift". So what this could this gift actually be? Well, I've come up with a couple of theories as to what it is.
My most likely theory - Ghosdeeri (or just any generic retexture of Dusekkar)
Ghosdeeri, the Cursed Spirit
In the last sale, DarkGenex once again tried to advertise one of his retextures; named Ghosdeeri, many thought it would be the big item of the sale, but instead the Duke of the Federation and the Black Iron Bucket were the big items. Rumors have been going around though that Ghosdeeri might still have a chance at coming out. Observant users have noticed that this gift is similar to the original Dusekkar as both have quotes from the Tick talking about destiny. It would also make sense for the "BOOtiful" part since Ghosdeeri is meant to be a hybrid between ghost and pumpkin. However, ROBLOX could be trying to trick us again. Last year the big gift had a bunch of clues proving that it could be a domino crown, but ROBLOX instead decided to release another dominus. This leads to my next theory.
My unexpected gift theory - Dual Ghostwalkers
Dual Ghostwalkers has been another long rumored gift idea. The Dual Swords series started at the end of last year, and so far both Dual Illumina and Dual Darkheart have been failures, so it would be a shame if Dual Ghostwalkers came out of this. Nethertheless, it could happen, as it would also be "bootiful" and it would make you the "protector of this place". Or at least, protector of yourself. However, I believe months ago somewhere stickmasterluke said that they aren't releasing dual gears as gifts anymore due to Dual Illumina's failure. But you never know.
My worst gift theory - A new domino or dominus
I have not been a fan of gifts that follow patterns, as it makes them too predictable/tiresome. It's still possible that a Black Iron Domino Crown could come out of a gift, but I wouldn't really bet on it. Domino crowns are usually Christmas items, and all the nonlimited domino crown went limited a few months ago, so it wouldn't be necessary to release another domino crown. A sixth dominus would not be necessary either, plus since the 2012 Christmas gift broke the pattern of Christmas domino crowns, it's likely that the 2013 Halloween gift will break the pattern of Halloween domini.

DarkGenex's Theory
Unfortunately, DarkGenex's theory is a little too long to put into this already lengthy post, so we are going to be nice gentlemen and provide a simple link for you to read it on the ROBLOX forums. You can read it HERE.

Overall, it seems evident that ROBLOX is trying to hint at a new Dusekkar retexture. In all honesty, I hope this isn't a misleading gift like last year's, as it would be REALLY NICE to see a new start of possibly a new classic hat retexture series, rather than getting another add-on to an existing series.

Halloween Gift Guessers: Fancy Gift of Fright

Fancy Gift of FrightOn the twelfth day of BLOXTober, ROBLOX released the Fancy Gift of Fright for a high asking price of 5000R$. This makes the box the most expensive of the 'smaller gifts' of this Halloween season, and the most expensive ever second-to-last gift. The significance of this will be detailed in the gift guesses below.

The Fancy Gift of Fright features a simple mesh and texture representing a 'bowler' hat of sorts. The texture features an orange pumpkin-like skin with a green band possibly representing a band around a top hat. A gift is never complete of course, without the ribbon and bow, nicely attached to the top of the box.

Our Gift Guesser theories are as follows:

Pumpkin Bowler/Top Hat Theory
The words 'Fancy' and the shape of the gift both hint towards some kind of smart looking hat such as top hat or bowler. In studio the gift is named 'SPMGift' not really adding much of an inclination as to the contents inside. Pbjms did offer the opinion that it stands for 'Spooky Pumpkin Mesh' but this is unlikely (we can only dream). The most likely explanation for this strange asset title is that it the acronym is actually a typo, and that it is supposed to read SDM 'Smart Dressed Man' which is in references to the gift description - more on this later. The price tag of 5000R$ - very expensive for a 'normal gift' along with the title hint towards a 'posh' item in the form of a top hat or bowler, perhaps with a pumpkin design, but most likely of  the main colours already presented on the box.

This is supported by the gift description which references the song 'Sharp Dressed Man' by the artist ZZ Top, once again linking to the Bowler and Top Hat theory of the item as it will enable to wearer to dress smartly as everyone knows men in bowler hats mean business. They are often associated with the old fashioned bankers who are smartly dressed (and nowadays; willing to give out ridiculous mortgages).

Gusmanak's Top Hat Theory
Now, hear me out on this one.
If you cast your memory back a few months you may remember a retexture poll in which Gusmanak's 'Green Banded (Orange) Top Hat' placed highly in. This item was leaked by several users but was never published to the ROBLOX Catalog during the sale or post-sale. The exact reason to why this occurred is still not known, but maybe BrightEyes had second thoughts about releasing it at the end of the sale and decided to hold it for a future Halloween release due to its colour sceheme. According to some users the ID was 'replaced' with another texture, which is odd to say the least.

This is going somewhere, trust me.

Due to the colours displayed on the original Orange Tophat, and the likeness of these to the gift's texture, I would say there is reasonable chance this top hat is within the gift. It suits the Halloween theme nicely and would make a nice addition to the top hat series. ROLOX have certainly not been afraid to retexture classics recently.

Other Theories
Of course, this could turn out to be all a ruse and some sort of the pumpkin themed package/ Halloween business casual could be inside the gift. This is the least likely theory, but stranger things have been known to happen.

Quote from DarkGenex - "it's named "SPM gift", SPM means somali patriotic movement, it's a flag of somalia". So naturally a Somalian themed item could come out. Hey, ROBLOX are trying to become more international.

That wraps up this gift guessers post, thanks for reading!

Halloween Gift Guessers: Shrieking Gift of Doom

Shrieking Gift of Doom
It's the 11th day of BLOXTober, and the gifts are starting to get more expensive. Shrieking Gift of Doom was published with a price tag of 3,000 Robux, really getting rid of ROBLOX's theme with the gifts this year, making all of them fairly cheap. The face on the gift, along with the description, really point to one thing coming out of this gift.

My Theory: Scream Package/Mask

       1.) The Texture

The texture has a face on it, a very familiar face. It is the face of the villain from the 1996 film, Scream, a villain called "Ghostface." As one can tell, the face that is on the casket of the gift is indeed a ghost face very similar to the one from the movie. Another thing pointing to the idea of a ghost package is the name of the texture itself. It is simply called, "TX_GhostPackage." TX means texture, and then _ divides the TX from what the texture is. A ghost package. This is really one of the main things that lead to a Scream package, but of course, the admins had to make it even more obvious...

2.) The Description

The description reads, "In space, no one can hear you SCREAM." This once again points to the film Scream and Ghostface highlighting that a package is likely to come out of the box.

Arbirator's theory: "There is small amount of doubt lingering around the package theory, namely because package could have been used to describe a gift box as in 'I got a package in the mail'. Perhaps some sort of ghost gear could be inside, one that summons a group of ghosts similar to the Forbidden Box released last Halloween. Alternatively it could be similar to the Ghastly Ghoul Gun, but in the form of a bomb that turns any within it's blast radius into a ghost minion to do your bidding. Of course, this would be slightly over powered, but let's remember; the gift is 3000R$."

Of course, ROBLOX could release something a bit smaller, like just the scream mask or some sort of murder weapon gear, but the gift is 3,000 Robux, so that's unlikely. I'd say this gift is a gamble, if you have the money to spend then buy it as it is most likely to be a good item. If you are on a budget and would like to see what else comes out this Halloween, I'd say save your money for spooky limiteds or other seasonal items.
