Giftsplosion 2014: The Percy Jackson of Christmas Events

Giftsplosion: the Timely Woe of Outdated, Useless Gifts

Hello readers, RayMan36 here with what we've all been waiting for: disappointment. Yes, I'm here to talk about the overly-impossible gift hunt, and maybe what would come out of these presents from the depths unknown, which all of you certainly bought.

DISCLAIMER: You have been juggling a broken teacup with a milkshake straw in your sock while dancing to the Canadian national anthem, all with your iron man costume in your baby pool on your 8th birthday party only if it was July 20th and it was a full moon. Otherwise, just pay me $40,000.

Halloween Gift Guessers: Day 10 - Reverse Gift of the Undertaker

Hello! It's xxMarvelBobbyxx, Catalog Analyst! Day 10, brought us a very evil gift, with a very interesting and revealing mesh. The Assistant Editor of Roblox News will be sharing his thoughts, on what will come out of the day 10 BLOXtober gift.

Halloween Gift Guessers: Mystical Gift of the Arbor

May the gifts of the season continue to grow.

Day 4 came with the first questionable gift - what it contains is honestly a mystery to me. Oh, and sorry about the late post today - the gift came out pretty early and I wasn't home at all today. Anyways, this is the Mystical Gift of the Arbor, and it's basically a tree stump with an axe in it and a bow on the side - it's 250 Robux, and I'm somewhat clueless as to what this gift contains.

Halloween Gift Guessers: Gift of the 9th Great Power

Perhaps the 9th time is the charm...

Day three is upon us, and this gift comes as no surprise to me. Every year we get a coffin gift, and a similar item is inside - but I'll get to that later. Anyways, this gift is the Gift of the 9th Great Power, and it is priced at 300 Robux.

Halloween Gift Guessers: Gift of Robloxians Past

What remains after everything else is gone?

Day two of BLOXtober is underway! Last night, the first gift, Batty Gift of Affordable Style, was released for 50 Robux. Tonight, we got the Gift of Robloxians Past - a very unique gift indeed. It's priced at 100 Robux, and has a very unique mesh that resembles a skull, possibly hinting at what's inside...

Halloween Gift Guessers: Batty Gift of Affordable Style

It's batty, it's affordable, it's stylish.

After a long year of waiting, It is BLOXtober once again! This year, we're once again getting the usual 13 days of gifts, and then an event. Anyways, today we got the very first gift: Batty Gift of Affordable Style. And of course, it's another bat-themed gift like last year.

Hat Review: Dominus Aureus

Let me first just take a chance to say, I WAS RIGHT. Yeah. My guesser for the Dev Ex Gift was right, they made it too obvious. Okay, so, the gift that was awarded for people who used Developers Exchange or bought the gift for 50,000 R$ opened to reveal...

(shocker!)
Dominus Aureus
Okay, let me just take this chance to point out a few things:

1. This is an updated texture. The texture when it first came out had some AWFUL stripe on the back of the hood that made the dominus look like a folded pancake.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. As the most recent dominus, Dominus Vespertilio, this dominus has a new mesh, which is a lot better than the vespertilio mesh. I'm a fan of the chrome-looking features, I must say.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. 259 people own this. Eh, not too bad. It's rarer than a lot of other big gifts, but still, not very rare. But hey, it's not like 1.63 million people have it like that Gandolf thing.

Okay, review time.

Mesh: Eh. The new mesh is alright. I love the pointed features, but the hood itself comes to a point at the end. Eww. The button things that I honestly have no idea what their proper name is are similar to the others, but a bit better to fit with the rest of the mesh. The opening of the hood is also different than the opening of the hood on all the other dominuses.. er, domini? What's the plural of dominus? I think it's domini. 8/10
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Texture: Even more.. Eh. Before the updated texture, this texture was awful. Now, it's better. It's gold, it's shiny, it's darker gold at areas, it's... okay. It could be better. I don't know how, but it could be better. Brighteyes, figure out what's missing, because something is missing. 7/10
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Price/Requirement/Whatever: Okay so there are like 4 different possible prices for this dominus. 50,000 R$, 100,000 R$, 250,000 R$, and 500,000 R$. The prices that aren't 50,000 R$ would get you that price divided by 1000 in dollars ($). If you bought it for 50,000 R$, well, you get nothing in return but a gift that looks like a void of candy canes and flowers, along with a golden dominus with a 7.5/10 grade in the appearance. Yippee. Okay, so if you earned this, it's great, if you didn't, it's probably still kind of great seeing as how it's most likely going to make profit whenever it goes limited. 9/10

Overall: 8/10

And that wraps of my review of Dominus duplex subcinericius - er, Dominus Aureus.

Christmas Gift Guessers: Muneris Aureus Dev Ex - What are you?

OKAY SO, the big gift this year, like Brighteyes said, is some huge thing for builders and rich people. You had to use Dev Ex to get it. Jeez, a recent update. Who could have seen that coming? Okay so this gift was awarded like, seconds after it was made, then started selling for 50,000 Robux. That's a lot. So, all of you people with enough money are probably wondering "What are ya, Mr. Latin Gift?"

Okay. The name is in latin, hm, what other hats are in latin that are worth a lot? Okay, so, the gift translates into "Golden Services" Okay. Aparently Dev Ex is latin.. That's new.

Okay, so, the gift is in latin, and it involves gold stuff. HMMM, if I do a little research by looking up "Aureus," latin for gold, into the ROBLOX catalog page, I get a nice result.

Okay, doing a bit more research, I noticed that the creator of the Golden Dominus, Encladeus, somehow has the gift. He has 2,000 place visits, so unless he's a major robux buyer, he was given the gift for free... Hmmm... why was that? OH RIGHT, if somebody gets their retexture published, they either get it for free, or if it's limited, some robux. So, my theory is that Encladeus created a Golden Dominus, and is getting it published because he got the gift for free. Even if Encladeus bought it, all the clues still add up to a Golden Dominus of some-sort.

If you STILL don't believe it's a dominus, I have EVEN MORE PROOF, this time, proof from the great John Shedletsky. Consumer of chicken, nuker of whales. So, Freaked sent Shedletsky a tweet on twitter saying, "> @Shedletsky posts a Latin phrase as his ROBLOX status. > OMG NEW DOMINUS!!11" And then, Shedletsky replied saying.. "Dominus Aureus." HMMM, Dominus Aureus? Isn't that latin for Lord of Gold? Wait a minute, the gift also says Aureus in it.. and the dominus retexture is gold! It all adds up!

Okay. So, if you want a chance at a golden dominus, buy the gift for the robux.

Christmas Gift Guessers: Bewitching Gift of Santa

Okay. So, I'm here. You all missed me, I know, but I'm back for my finale Gift Guesser this year. You're stuck with nitro, ray, Arb, or somebody else for the next one (sorry). Anyways, today's gift was the second to last one, and if you ask me, It's probably the most obvious one. I honestly think this is the gift that gives the admins, their new nickname of "Fun-Hating Grinches," because, well, the whole GIFT is pretty much completely spoiled in the description.
WHHHHY?

Okay, the name doesn't spoil anything, but it is spoiled in the description
Heh, notice the corner with the three different monsters merging into each other?

Okay, it's theory time! Wait, wha-? The gift is completely spoiled in the description?
OR IS IT?
Nah, it probably is, but knowing ROBLOX, things aren't always as they seem.

Pb's Theory #1: Fully Complete the Witching Hour

As like, 80% of this post has been about, this gift is practically fully spoiled in the description. "The town is indebted to you, Great Bloxxer. Bloxhilda will never bother us again! Or will she ..." Okay, COME ON. If you don't understand how you get this gift just from that, you're either not very smart, or you just weren't here for the Witching Hour. And if you weren't, all you missed was a mash of a 20,000 x 20,000 studs map with tons of unique structures like houses, houses, rectangular mountains, swamps, houses, rivers, and houses.
Oh yeah, did I mention there were houses?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So you just ran around completing quests for admins spread too far apart that it took like 20 minutes to get to each one. You completed completely random and obnoxious quests like retrieving a bunch of marbles for Frankenstein to get dolls of glory called BLOXikins that somehow harnessed the power to defeat a giant evil witch that needs to go on a diet.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyways, back to the gift. If you have two eyes and know how to read, you'd see that the description is about you brutally murdering Bloxhilda. So, to get the gift, you just had to kill Bloxhilda and beat the Witching Hour. I'm guessing ROBLOX ran out of ideas for gifts when they made this, seeing as how we already got 31 BLOXikins, OBTH, and tons of other prizes for our 20,000 x 20,000 stud adventure. Oh well. More for me.

Pb's Theory #2: Own the BLOXikins for Brighteyes, Shedletsky, Ostrichsized, and Fusroblox

Gift of the Prime Nexus' Texture
Okay, so, when I suddenly found this gift using totally reliable sources and nothing unlegit, there was no description, so I thought using the texture as a reference, "hmmm... vampires, mummies, and frankensteins on the texture.." Soo, using my amazing memory skills of a giant event that happened like a month ago, I remembered that in the event, each admin had a random costume. Brighteyes and Shedletsky were vampires, Ostrichsized was a mummy, and Fusroblox was Frankenstein.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This secondary theory is highly unlikely, and, I mean, if you completed what I said in Theory #1, you completed this too. This is really just to make the people that gave up on the giant event feel good about abandoning something that results in an outrageous amount of prizes.
And hey, who said hints can't be in the texture?

Darkgenex's Theory:

"The gift will require you to find all of the 2013 eggs."
Not sure why I put this here, but hey, It's my last post, why not spice it up a bit?

Thanks for Reading!
And no, I'm not quitting RN, this is my last Giftguessers post, and I had a lot of fun with them.

Christmas Gift Guesses: Double Double Gift of Trouble

Greetings to all you gift collectors out there! Today we will be taking a look at the tenth gift of this Christmas season and what the likely requirement is to earn the box. This gift is fairly simple, with both title and description hinting towards how to obtain it for free (well, not really for free).

Double Double Gift of Trouble
Double Double Gift of Trouble

Gift Theory One - Own two copies of the same limited item

As promised, I'm providing the credit of this theory to Nitro357 who drafted his theory onto a secret blog post. If I were being impartial, I would credit half of the ROBLOX community, as a lot of players have caught on to the likely achievement they need in order to get this gift box. The theory is as follows: simply own/buy 2 or more copies of the same limited item. This is implied by the description 'It was so nice I bought it twice!'. I would suggest investing in items such as the Riptide Gear or the POW! To the Moon! Egg as they are what I would call 'dirt cheap', and readily available in terms of supply. Up until Monday this week, more Riptides were being generated by players returning to the Percy Jackson edition of Sword Fights on the Heights - this was reflected in the incredibly low prices I spotted at one point of being R$40.

Gift Theory Two - Rent a piece of gear twice (unlikely)

As stated above, this gift is rather unlikely due to the practicality of this task; it's great for people who have rented a gear in the past twice - but for users who haven't they have to do this within 3 days or less. This means renting the gear - deleting it, then renting again to accomplish the '2 rental' theorised achievement. If you were to perform this task, I would suggest renting out the Silver Ninja Star of the Brilliant Light twice. Only perform this theory if  you literally have bucket-loads of cash to spare, because it is extremely unlikely - new feature gifts 'n' all.

Christmas Gift Guessers: Sound as a Bell Gift

                                    Sound as a Bell Gift
Here we are, the 9th of the 12 promised gifts for BLOXmas, or something like that. Anyway, decoration for this gift isn't too much special, red with some bells on the side, and a green bow which kind of tells us what has to be done to get this. But as always, the theory;

- My Theory

Users have been speculating for a while there would be a sound-related gift, since there's been one for paid access, game passes, and outfits already. So, what do you have to do to get this I think? Well, it's in the title so it's sort of obvious enough. But I digress, my main guess is you have to upload a sound, or multiple sounds. But it's likely only one.

- Arb's Theory

Have a certain number of users take your uploaded sound - probably 10. This would be a little similar to the Supermodeler Gift of 2011. This is unlikely because most feature gifts nowawadys rarely require to sell anything more than 1 copy of the asset.

- RayMan32's Theories:

Theory I: Make a Roblox Audio Clip
This is highly likely. A new feature that hasn't been marketed yet? This is definitely the one. I'm saying to make any sort of audio, but to be on the safe side, name it bell.

Theory 2: Beat a dead horse with a Roblox Audio.
Sorry. I had to put this in there. I know pbjms and I are a little annoyed with the feature gifts. The badge one was really fun.
sorta had to put this in here.
Anything else I should add? Maybe next there will be a price floor gift.

Christmas Gift Guessers: Gift of Approval

Hello readers, RayMan36 here with my thumbs permanently fixed in the upright position. I'm sure you know what I'm going to talk about: The new Gift of Approval. Let's begin!
Seems legit enough to me, anyway.
I've got a couple theories on this myself.
I. Get a Place with at least a 50% like rate.
There's been hints to this in quite a few places. First of all, Roblox likes to give us "site feature" type gifts, such as the outfit, game pass, or paid access gifts. The thumbs up feature came out this year, and there's never been to way to force everybody to use it yet. Also, I was told there was a hint to it in the BloxCast. Apparently, Justus hinted today's gift by giving a thumbs-up, which might have gotten him arrested if he did it in a public park to a roblox user. Thank gosh it was only on a website designed only for kids. Anyway, I'm guessing to have at least a rate of 50% likes.
Justus, how's this post?

II. Get your email verified (Extremely Unlikely)
I really don't think this is likely, but the only reason I put it in here is because of the desc, "Seems legit". This is mainly unlikely because there was a gift like it a while ago. The gift not only opened, but went limited. Unlikely.

That's my time, if Arbirator's got anything, hopefully the Russians don't steal it!
Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici.

UPDATE: the Russians stole it.

Christmas Gift Guessers: Festive Gift of Impossiblity

Ok, I'm back with this Gift Guesser after I was too late for it yesterday and my post was stolen. -sniffle- Just kidding, I don't really care. I mean, the gift yesterday was probably the easiest to figure out so far. Or was it? Today's gift, Festive Gift of Impossibility, sounds impossible. But really, it's just.. the same exact thing as the gift yesterday. Ugh. Unoriginal. But hey, badge gifts are a whole lot more fun than new feature ones.

Festive Gift of Impossibility
Okay, so, this gift really doesn't need a theory, seeing as how the description is just a grouping of 7 IDs:
62592460, 132345501, 117136113, 55843753, 91323278, 122924107, 137697370
As you could probably infer after yesterday, those are all badge IDs. This time though, the badges are a bit harder. Okay, a lot harder. So, instead of giving random theories about the gift, I'm just going to go over the badges.

Badges:

Fork in the RoadFork in the Road Okay, this is already starting off to an annoyingly hard start. This badge is awarded for completing this game twice, one with each of the two different endings. To get each ending, you have to either disobey or obey the voice. NO, you don't have to obey or disobey everything, just the majority of commands. So when he says, "Use WASD to move," I'm fairly sure you CAN'T disobey that, but you have to obey or disobey everything else. Place
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
50 Damage50 Damage - Okay, so this is more annoying than hard. To get it, you just have to deal 50 damage to either the beast or the players if you are the beast. Of course, it's not easy. Why? Well, each shot does 5 damage. There aren't any gun upgrades. There need to be 10+ people in the server. People are annoying. Place
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BanditBandit - This badge is probably one of the easiest in the list, unless your computer is really slow. All you have to do to get it is get a total of three kills. That's it. If you want to easily do this, I suggest going to somewhere like Gusmanak's Mansion for some good loot. The easiest gun to get this with is an automatic, military style weapon, like the mk-47, or SCAR-L. Place
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lava-Cave Mini-game ChampionLava-Cave Mini-game Champion - Okay so this one really doesn't involve anything special. Go to the giant dirt wall with tons of rocks sticking out, find one of the many ways inside, and climb around inside without falling into the lava until you find this badge. It's really not as hard as it sounds, and VIP for bonuses is really cheap here. Place
Bronze minigames medal--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bronze Minigames Medal - This badge is a lot easier than it sounds. You have to simply play over 10 games that consist of a randomly chosen minigame, and have a win ratio of over 10%. If you have to play 10 games, and win 10% of them.. that's only winning 1 game minimum. Simple. Place
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Golden Fleece
At least the badge looks good.
Golden Fleece - Alright, without bashing too much on how awful this game is, I'm just going to quickly tell you how to get this badge. All you have to do is run around the map and collect the four different weapons at different stations: Ice Axe, Trident, Ice Breaker, and the Beach Battle Sword. Their locations consist of the places in the original SFOTH that hold the different swords like Darkheart and stuff. All I can say is, good luck at this awful place. Place
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Iron ThroneThe Iron Throne - This badge is really annoying to get. You are put in a giant map with tons of stamper parts everywhere, and you are supposed to find Shedletsky's pointy chair. Well, it's in a giant golden castle somewhere. The castle is hard to miss, but it's really annoying to find. Good luck with this one - some weapons are allowed here, and you know how the community is.. Place

Christmas Gift Guessers: Achievements of the Populace

Achievements of the Populace
It appears I'm jumping onto the Gift Guessers bandwagon by getting this one out early with the 6th gift of the 12 promised, Achievements of the Populace. How you get this gift isn't exactly original nor that complicated, infact it's very much easier than the original gift(s) that used this gimmick.

Anyways, let's take a look at the description;

"117561193, 99931407, 106476791, 121133205,
129382885, 135592556, 100477541"

Well isn't that certainly cryptic, a bunch of random numbers, hmm...

(If it wasn't obvious already, these are IDs.)

So to make this brief as possible, I'll just link to the badges so you don't have to waste your time going back and forth trying to copy/paste the links.

4 Cards - Paper Roblox 2: Beyond The Fold

The way you get this is just by spending a few minutes in the game running around the map collecting cards, not hard at all. Place Link

[15] Fast Air - Block Town

This is probably the hardest badge to get out of the bunch, since it relies upon you to stack with others to get up from the lighthouse, on top of the plane. All I can tell you here is I hope you know how to navigate structures on ROBLOX. Place Link

Tick, Tock - Catching Fire: The Hunger Games Sequel

Not complicated in the slightest, well as long as you don't get killed before the game is able to trigger one of it's disasters. Place Link

Coins - ROBLOX Battle

This badge can be pretty easy, or a bit frustrating depending on how well you can collect coins without dying a ton. My personal advice is to run around with a sword collecting coins, or winning rounds since that gives you even more. Place Link

5 Kills - Fencing REDUX

Self explanatory, get 5 kills. As long as you know your way around a sword, you're set. Place Link

Rank C - Wobbly Brickbattle

Probably my favorite badge out of the bunch just because it's at one of my favorite brickbattle places in in a while, but I digress, to get this badge just kill 10 people which can be easily accomplished by using the slingshot on low health foes, at least that's what I'd do. Place Link

Combine Winner - The Stalker

Can either be gotten easily, or it may be an annoyance. Personally I haven't played Stalker much so that's up to you really. Place Link

That wraps it up, go out, collect these badges, and earn your gift. Until next time, good day!

Christmas Gift Guessers: Eventful Gift

Okay, pbjms back for another Gift Guessers after I was overloaded with makeup work and stuff yesterday and Arb took over. Anyways, the majority of this post will be learning percents, fractions, ROBLOX history, and stuff about stamps. Yippee.

If you've stopped reading after the very exciting opening paragraph, I don't blame you. This gift is probably the first one that looks cool, but, alike a few others, there are many possibilities as to how it's earned. Based on the description and name, this gift involves an event and 80%.

Pb's Many Theories:

Theory #1: Participate in 80% of the ROBLOX Events this Year.
Are you guys ready to do some math?

Okay, so, 80% is a percent. All percents have a fraction form and decimal form. We aren't going to be learning about decimals, though (sorry, I know you want to). Okay, so. In order to turn a percent into a fraction, divide it by 100. Taking the easy way out, just take a look at 80/100. Simplify it (divide both by 20), and you get 4/5. WOW! 4/5? That's so surprising, pb! Well, as a matter of fact, it is surprising, because if I recall, there have been 5 ROBLOX "events" this year (which are definitely eventful). You know, NERF, the annual Egg-Hunt, the disgrace of a Percy Jackson SFOTH game, the outrageously huge Witching Hour, and the 2009 throwback, Thanksgiving Turkey Hunt.
"So how does this all tie together?"
Well, my first prediction is, participate in four out of the five ROBLOX events this year.

Theory #2: Have an 80% or Higher Voting Accuracy (Very Unlikely)
Yeah. History lesson time.

Back in ye ol' days of ROBLOX, there were these things called Building Contests. There would be a specific theme, and all of the entrees would be put on a Contest Page. Users would have a choice of two places to vote for, one of them was the better option. If you voted for the wrong one, your "Voting Accuracy" would decrease, and if you picked the better one, your Accuracy would increase by a specific amount. Users with winning places and high Voting Accuracy would receive a prize. So, this theory is based on 80%, and events. The contests used to be annual events that took place very often, and well, as my theory states,
Have a Voting Accuracy of 80% or higher. This theory is very unlikely however, as buildings contests have been discontiuned for a long while now.

Theory #3: Show up to One of the Three Real-Life Bloxcons
It's time for stamp metaphors, people!

Okay, so, stamps travel around the world on their little letters and things, sitting in mailboxes and delivering a wide variety of things around the globe. The key words there are "travel around the world." What was the theme of this year's Bloxcons? It wasn't JUST in California, there were 3 all around the world. Also, the description really supports that, "80% of success is showing up."
So, all you had to do for this theory is having showed up to one of the Bloxcons.

Arb's Theories:

#1 Obtain the first four gifts

This would seem a little exclusive considering potentially 3 gifts so far will require a purchase to obtain them - the Gift of Passage, Gift of the Little Seed and the Admit One Gift. However if you were smart you could have bought all three of the assets for these gifts for a measly 30R$ (paid access = 25R$, Little Seed = 5R$) and 1 Ticket (gamepass = 1 Ticket). So, there is chance that the Eventful Gift is for having the four previous gifts. This would make sense in terms of the description '80% of success is showing up', with 80% reffering to 4/5 gifts and 'success is showing up' referring to user's not needing to do anything if they have earned the first four gifts.

#2 Show up to the BLOXcast

Either through purchasing an exclusive 'BLOXcast' virtual item or by registering for a virtual 'ticket' for the livestream may award a user the Eventful Gift. This would seem unlikely as the gift has been uploaded over a day in adcance, and may be quite hard logistically to work out who attended the event (if there was a virtual item). Considering the difficulty of each gift is supposedly increasing which each day, this would seem just a tad easy for gift number 5.

#3 Obtain 80% of the item in a specific ROBLOX event

The Eventful Gift may require you to have earned, say, 80%, of the items in the Witching Hour or perhaps 80% of the items in the Egg Hunt. Once again, these would seem a little exclusive but hey, we've had gifts for the ROBLOX Rally - a one time only event in only one location in America - so anything is possible.

Of course, all of these are unavailable as to now, so I'm going to say that, either it's a gift from the blog of something that you "had to do," or, sadly, I am terribly wrong.

Thanks for reading!

Christmas Gift Guessers: Admit One Gift

In this Christmas Gift Guessers post we'll be taking a peak at the 'Admit One Gift' released today. Compared to the previous three gifts released so far, this gift is much more mysterious in terms of the clues in the description and the texture wrapping. The description reads 'a ticket to hours of entertainment is just a few clicks away'.
Admit One Gift

Because of the cryptic nature of the clue, I have several theories for this gift which I have written in order of likelihood. Check them out below:

Arb's Theory #1 - Buy access to a game
Considering the other very similar gift 'Gift of Passage' is most likely to do with owning gamepasses, I'm going to hazard a guess that the Admit One Gift is to do with buying access to a paid game created by a user. The minimum price for paid access is 25R$ - which isn't actually too bad. Many of you will likely have paid access 'passes' to games, and need not to worry about the gift requirements because you've met them. The reason why I believe it is to do with buying paid access to a game, rather than selling paid access to a game is the use the phrase 'admit one'. This refers to a ticket in the real world which admits only one person into an event such as a concert and so is likely to be awarded to the purchasing user. This links with the 'hours of entertainment' quote found in the description which links with a user purchasing access and playing their newly bought ROBLOX game. 'A few clicks' refers to buying the access, then clicking the play button.

Nuclear Simulation_ImageIf you're looking for a high quality game you can buy access to, I would suggest purchasing Terra Novus - helping to fund the developer ctazyman32 and provided a great cinematic experience at the same time. It only costs 30R$. If you're looking for slightly cheaper paid access, might I suggest either my Christmas Treasure Hunt or pbjm's Build Preview

Arb's Theory #2 - Bought early access to the Witching Hour
I believe this theory is less likely than the previous one, but it is worth noting that it has been expressed by a handful of users/ This would mean anyone who bought either level of the early 'paid access' to the Witching Hour would receive the Admit One Gift. One of the reasons that I'm a bit sceptical of this is that this would be a very exclusive gift requirement - you literally can't do it anymore. Also, players who bought early access were granted bonus items, and so they have already been rewarded once for their prowess in testing. It might seem a little excessive to award them with a gift box too (stranger things have happened, mind you).

Arb's Theory #3 - Attend (watch) the BLOXcast Livestream on the 7th December
This could be a way of obtaining the Admit One Gift, but would seem logistically difficult to identity winners and distribute. Even if there was some kind of virtual item to sponsor the event, not everyone who watched the video would likely own it, and visa versa. Still, this is a viable option and would explain the 'hours of entertainment' mentioned in the description.

Pbjm's Theories: Being admitted to any of three real-life BLOXcons in 2013 - London, New York or Chicago. This involves having been registered with a ticket and valid username. Perhaps anyone who bought the BLOXcon 2013 Lanyard will be classed a virtual BLOXcon 'tickerholder' and will receive the gift, this is not probable. A second theory would be an advertisement that receives a high CTR or number of clicks in general - this is not that likely as a similar kind of gift was released Christmas 2011.

Christmas Gift Guessers: Gift of the Little Seed

Okay, so I'm really against writing pointless articles, but you guys apparently want all the gift guessers you can get. So, I'm going to write one for this gift, the Gift of the Little Seed. Finally, there is a new, unique gift. This actually doesn't involve a current update, though it does involve a hat released earlier in the year; The Little Seed, which grew into the Seedling, then the Potted Plant, Shady Plant, Clockwork Orange Tree, Branch to School, BLOXTober Flytrap, The Giving Plant, and finally, the Frozen Plant.

Gift of the Little Seed
Besides looking like a gift done with triangles in Microsoft Paint, it's actually the hardest to earn this year, let me explain why.

Pb's Theory: Have bought the Little Seed hat back when it was a Little Seed, for 5 Robux.

I really don't even need to explain my theory. It's called the Gift of the Little Seed, and it's covered in trees, which start off from seeds, AND it's description points out "seeds."

So, back to how this is the hardest to earn. Well, pretty much, it's the hardest to earn because you can't earn it. You had to buy the little seed back on Earth Day. Sorry to those who don't, but I think I've said enough about this gift for now. Besides, it's not going to be too expensive... right?

Arb's Theory: There is of course the chance that you need to own the little seed at any stage in its lifecycle; perhaps if bought the Frozen Plant this month you might still earn the gift. This is unlikely, and I wouldn't recommend buying the plant at its current price tag of R$1600 - the gift will undoubtedly be cheaper than this. Just wait till the gift goes on sale.

Christmas Gift Guessers: Gift of Passage

Hi! I, pbjms, am back with the second Gift Guessers of this "BLOXmas" season. It's time for some gift guessing.

Gift of Passage
Pb's Theory: Buy a gamepass to a game  - (opposed to selling a gamepass last year)

First off, last year was the gamepass gift, and they rarely repeat gift requirements. Anyways, I believe the texture of the gift doesn't point out anything about the gift, due to it being called "TX_UglySweaterGift." So, we are left with the description as a hint. Oh look, a perfectly good hint that totally reveals everything about the gift! "You shall not pass without a pass." Okay.. So in order to pass, we need a pass.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyways, think of it as a ticket into a baseball game, no ticket, no game. In this case, no pass, no game. What kind of pass? A gamepass. So, simply put, to get this gift, just buy a gamepass to any game which can be the minimum of 5 Tickets, not too shabby at all!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
More support of my theory comes from Brighteyes' twitter post towards our good blogmaster, Arbirator. "Yeah of the 12 - 1 so far is pay - so they must all be!" Besides being a bit rude, Brighteyes pretty much revealed that there will only be a couple of gift that you have to "buy" to earn it. We all know that the outfit gift isn't buying anything, so, this gift must be about buying something!

Arb's Note: So, if any of you are looking for a quality gamepass to buy for 12 R$ and receive the gift for free, I would recommend 'The Stalker VIP' - killing two birds with one stone. Or on the otherhand, if you're looking for a cheap gamepass (1 TICKET!) - check this one out!

Alternate Theories:
Of course, this could all be a hoax, and the gift could end up being about buying access to a game, selling paid access, or selling gamepasses, but that's highly unlikely due to the points suggested above.

Another thing to note about day two of BLOXmas, is that a Giftsplosion preview post was uploaded on the blog, with 6 different gift images previewed.

Christmas Gift Guessers: Well Outfitted Gift of Style

Hello! Pbjms here with the first Gift Guessers of Giftsplosion 2013. The first gift, alike every other first gift of the season, is always the easiest. Sadly, they're basing the gifts off of the recently added updates like they did for the past year, which, in my opinion, was the worst Giftsplosion so far. So, down to some gift guessing.

Well Outfitted Gift of Style
So, it's down to the question everybody is asking: "How do I get this gift?"

Pb's Theory: Create at least one outfit to get this gift for free.

The name of the gift is, Well Outfitted Gift of Style. So, I find it pretty obvious that this gift involves creating an outfit, based on the word "outfitted" being used in the name of the gift. Now, down to the description of the gift; "Santa takes style seriously. Luckily his outfit works for all occasions." Based on that description, it's really quite obvious that this gift will be for creating an outfit. "Santa takes style seriously. Luckily his outfit works.." Yeah, more outfit related stuff.

Arb's Theory: Create an outfit named 'Santa'

Because of the colour-scheme and the dozen-or-so Santas covering the paper wrapping, the gift may require users to create an outfit (using the method outlined below) named 'Santa'. This is probably not the case, because it's the first gift which they aim to be as simple as possible. Still worth a try, and there's nothing to lose. As a side-note to Pbjms' theory - you may need to create a number of outfits (maybe 10?) to satisfy the gift requirements. Again this is unlikely and would seem a little trivial, but no harm-done if you over compensate eh?

Outfit Tutorial

Now, some of you may be wondering exactly HOW to create an outfit. Well, I'll tell you.

First, go to your Character page. You know, that little button over there, next to Profile and Friends. Image

After that, your screen should look something like this.

Now, go to the Outfit tab to view the outfits page, and click this button in the corner.

Then, you're done.

Halloween Gift Guessers: Big BOOtiful Gift of Destiny

WE HAVE THE PENTAGON'S TOP CRYPTOLOGISTS WORKING 24/7 TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE HECK THE GIFT EVEN IS!

On the thirteenth day of BLOXTober the Big BOOtiful Gift of Destiny was released. This gift costs 31,000R$ and is the final gift for the Halloween season! Two years ago, ROBLOX began making gifts a Halloween tradition too. And that year, they made a high-priced, 31,000R$ gift, which people call the "Big Gift" which contained a Dominus Messor inside. The next year they did it again and inside was Dominus Vespertilio. This year,  ROBLOX has done it again, but who knows what's inside? Let's crack it down.

Chubbs21's Theory:
For the past 2 years we have seen a Dominus come out of the Big Gift. In the gift boxes, they gave three options, a Domino Crown, a Dominus, or something silly. This year, it gives no hint to either. As it still isn't clear, this may or may not happen. The description is a reference from The Tick, a superhero. It includes the number 52,000 which is the price of another Limited U Dominus if there ever is another. (Add 13k every time) If it is a Dominus, chances are it's Purple as that color hasn't been used yet in the Dominus Series.

This gift could be a Domino Crown, it would be the first in ROBLOX Halloween Gifts. Last year a fellow user made a Black Iron Domino Crown at around Halloween time. Shedletsky happened to see it and really liked it, but it wasn't the big gift. Will this year be the year?

Since there is no given theories in the description, this could be anything. It could be a Dominus or a Domino Crown. It can even be a rumored Ghosdeerie or Dual Ghostwalkers. It can even be a new ... of the Federation Crown. There really are no hints, so I will guess a Domino Crown. Absolutely nothing hints in any specific direction.

Arbirator's Theory:

Regarding the gift's description, the fact that the traditional 'this gift could one of a number of items' has been scrapped speaks for itself. This act of abandoning the description in favour of a more cryptic clue hints that the traditional way of doing things is being left behind, and probably the traditional items too. With this whole new approach, it is unlikely that a Dominus is wrapped up within the gift box, as it seems as if they wish to leave the whole era behind. A Dominus will not be released for the third year in a row (praise Shedletsky!)

I heard from an unspecified source that they had asked the ROBLOX administrators at BLOXcon if any more Dominuses will be released and their answer was simply 'no more Dominuses. If this is true, then clearly we will be expecting one of two items - a Dusekkar, the famed original item symbolising Matt Dusek whom I met at BLOXcon London (he's a great guy).

My bets would be on a new Dusekkar retexture, as the I believe the Domino days are over (that was close to a song lyric). This was indicated by the remaining Domino Crowns being made limited around the same period, suggesting that BrightEyes wanted to finally get that out of the way before moving on to new things.

I'm not even going to mention Dual Ghostwalkers, that is just too depressing a subject.

NonstopEpic's Theory:

In previous years, ROBLOX has usually made the description of big halloween gifts as something along the lines of "This is either a dominus, a domino crown, or [insert terrible item here]". However, this time the big gift's description has instead been changed to a quote from cartoon superhero "the Tick", who is a spoof of common cartoon superheroes. At first, this may seem like ROBLOX is not trying to give any clues as to what's in the gift. Also, most likely to throw people off, the gift's name has "BOOtiful" in the title, so it could be ghost-related, the gift is named "Batbox" in game like last year's gift, and the gift's mesh and texture both refer to it as a "Pumpkin gift". So what this could this gift actually be? Well, I've come up with a couple of theories as to what it is.
My most likely theory - Ghosdeeri (or just any generic retexture of Dusekkar)
Ghosdeeri, the Cursed Spirit
In the last sale, DarkGenex once again tried to advertise one of his retextures; named Ghosdeeri, many thought it would be the big item of the sale, but instead the Duke of the Federation and the Black Iron Bucket were the big items. Rumors have been going around though that Ghosdeeri might still have a chance at coming out. Observant users have noticed that this gift is similar to the original Dusekkar as both have quotes from the Tick talking about destiny. It would also make sense for the "BOOtiful" part since Ghosdeeri is meant to be a hybrid between ghost and pumpkin. However, ROBLOX could be trying to trick us again. Last year the big gift had a bunch of clues proving that it could be a domino crown, but ROBLOX instead decided to release another dominus. This leads to my next theory.
My unexpected gift theory - Dual Ghostwalkers
Dual Ghostwalkers has been another long rumored gift idea. The Dual Swords series started at the end of last year, and so far both Dual Illumina and Dual Darkheart have been failures, so it would be a shame if Dual Ghostwalkers came out of this. Nethertheless, it could happen, as it would also be "bootiful" and it would make you the "protector of this place". Or at least, protector of yourself. However, I believe months ago somewhere stickmasterluke said that they aren't releasing dual gears as gifts anymore due to Dual Illumina's failure. But you never know.
My worst gift theory - A new domino or dominus
I have not been a fan of gifts that follow patterns, as it makes them too predictable/tiresome. It's still possible that a Black Iron Domino Crown could come out of a gift, but I wouldn't really bet on it. Domino crowns are usually Christmas items, and all the nonlimited domino crown went limited a few months ago, so it wouldn't be necessary to release another domino crown. A sixth dominus would not be necessary either, plus since the 2012 Christmas gift broke the pattern of Christmas domino crowns, it's likely that the 2013 Halloween gift will break the pattern of Halloween domini.

DarkGenex's Theory
Unfortunately, DarkGenex's theory is a little too long to put into this already lengthy post, so we are going to be nice gentlemen and provide a simple link for you to read it on the ROBLOX forums. You can read it HERE.

Overall, it seems evident that ROBLOX is trying to hint at a new Dusekkar retexture. In all honesty, I hope this isn't a misleading gift like last year's, as it would be REALLY NICE to see a new start of possibly a new classic hat retexture series, rather than getting another add-on to an existing series.
