Gear Review: Pyrox's Flame Staff

      

       Hello, everyone! As you all must have noticed, ROBLOX has released yet another contest sponsored by the creators of the LEGO Hero Factory series. As always, these contests come with free prizes, one of which, Pyrox's Flame Staff, will be the subject of our review today. So, without further ado, let's get down to the review!

Abilities/Effects: Pyrox's Flame Staff doesn't too shabby a job, and I must admit that I do enjoy the effect of the fire dancing around the tip of the flame-shaped blade, so I can't really mark it down there. The overall effect of the staff actually isn't entirely unlike that of the Tormentor's Axe, if you've seen that in action. Both are capable of causing quite a large amount of damage to one's opponent and are fairly decent weapons. I'd give it a 7/10.

Appearance: As with Furno's Flame Sword and Shield, the other prize available through this contest, I've found that I'm not really a fan of the design of the weapon. While it does look amazing with a LEGO Hero package, it just doesn't quite mesh with anything in the ROBLOXian Catalog as of yet. Ah, if only ROBLOX would release a Furno or Pyroz Package... Anyway, as I said earlier, I'm not too fond of the look, as the flame of the blade looks very plastic-y and slightly childish, which is why I've decided to give it a 5/10 in this category.

Pricing: You'll find that this gear item is one of the highest priced you'll ever see to hit the ROBLOXian Catalog. At a whopping 0 ROBUX, this monstrously expensive gear is second only to the second-to-last ROBLOX Tablet. All jokes aside, I appreciate the fact that ROBLOX is creating free gear which is easily available to players without Builder's Club. Great job, guys! 10/10.

Lego Hero Factory: Furno's Sword and Shield review

Sup, Pajke here, reviewing Furno's Sword and Shield. Man, I really need to update the sentence I start my articles with, It's getting monotone.

So for this article, let's call the gear FSaS for short, since that's the acronym you get. This is the weapon the heroes use in the new Lego Hero Factory Game. You can also receive it as a permanent gear, just by getting five badges. If you haven't already, go and grab it.

Abilities: Well, it's not exactly a Swiss army knife with 50 functions. All you can do with it is swing. I mean, you can't even use the shield. When you swing it, it turns red. The damage output is balanced. You can kill an opponent in two hits. Each hit causes 55 points of damage. The animation is nice and fluid. 6/10 - Mainly cause of the damage output and I like the animation. 

Looks: The sword consists of a blade and what seems to be a flamethrower. The Cross-Guards are bladelike pieces of metal, that are pointing downwards. The Rain Guard otherwise called Chappe, is orange. The blade is shaped similarly to a specific Turkish sabre of which I don't know the name. The shield looks something like a Kite-Shield, which is a pretty balanced shield, even though its Base isn't pointy. Just like with the sword, there seem to be flamethrowers attached to it. 7/10 - It looks too legoey for ROBLOX, but I like the meshes and the overall layout. 


Overall: It would have made a lot more sense if we could actually use the shield. Next to no functions, except for simple hitting. Balanced damage output. Doesn't look so bad. I don't hate it, but it could be better.

New ROBLOX Event: LEGO Hero Factory: Brain Attack

If you cast your minds back a year, then you may remember the LEGO Group working with the ROBLOX Corporation in creating a Hero Factory sponsored event. This was called: LEGO Hero Factory: Breakout. The basic premise of the game was to collect parts that spawned randomly around the map. The first team to locate all their parts would win the round. If the Heroes won, all the players on that team would receive Furno's Aquajet Pack and Plasma Gun. If the Villains won however, all the players on that team would receive the Arachnix Drone. Today, ROBLOX launched their greatly anticipated second event sponsoring LEGO. The name of the game is LEGO Hero Factory: Brain Attack and is based on control point gameplay. You'll be pleased to hear that this second instalment is a vast improvement on the first. I enjoyed Brain Attack more simply because it has a better designed map, formulated for close quarters action unlike Breakout. The game also offers actual player versus player combat, in which opponents can dismember each other with flaming swords and metallic claws. Due to the maps size, combat is fast and deadly meaning players do not have to travel far to seek their opponents.

There are 17 badges up for grabs, four of which will unlock a virtual item for you to keep in your inventory. These 4 badges are as follows:

Croods Event Sneak Peek

Pajke here, with an interesting article.

There has been a lot of hype going on about the new Croods event. Well I've been doing my research, and I've come across a lot of information which I feel like sharing. Now, I will try to keep this as short as possible.

The Grug Package

We first found out about the Croods event, when a bunch of GUI images called "TheCroods_GUI_" were accidentally published to gear on 1/10/2013. They were on the front page of the catalog. This caused confusion, and no one knew what it was about. The GUI assets were later changed to "Future gear item". People figured out that this was most likely a sign to a new event.

As I said, I've been doing my homework. The game will be a survival game, featuring 3 playable characters: Grug, Eep and Guy. There will be four disasters, and they are:

• Macawnivore Attack
• Piranakeet Swarm
• Fire
• Rockslide 

From this GUI, you can kind of get the point of the game. There is also an MVP system. To be the MVP, you have to collect more Food items, and power-ups than the other players. Which is also kind of the point of the game, along with surviving until the end of course.

How to Get An iPad Tablet Gear / Black Friday Items

Hello Robloxians, it's me, jirachidog, back again to inform you on how to increase your chances of getting a Roblox iPad Tablet. However before I start I want to warn you that no one is guaranteed to obtain one. You especially don't need to buy robux to get them. If you spend about 500$ you will only get around 70k robux. Why spend 500$ for 70k robux if you can just buy an iPad for 499$.

It's also almost Black Friday! These tips will also help with you getting the latest limiteds!

Here's some facts I've found about the iPads:

1. At least 10 are being made
2. They come out at odd timezones for PST. (For example 4 AM) Other time zones are at 7 AM.
3. The first 10 raise in intervals of 10k
4. They get botted
5. You are given an iPad 3 (Retina Display) if you get one
6. [LMaD] It was heard that Roblox is mainly giving it to users who make games.

There are only a few left but you still have a chance!

Here are some tips on how to get it:

• Do NOT use the TC:

Black Friday is coming nearing us and the TC rates are raising! Before Black Friday the rates were at 12.0. But now the rates have risen to 14.0 This means that instead of needing 12 tix for 1 robux you need 14 tix. It my seem like a little but when you calculate it you can lose a couple thousand robux.

• Get The Google Chrome Hat Notifier:

Although the tablets aren't hats you have a special feature. You can see when Roblox is online or offline. Roblox being on is only a small factor. From experience when Roblox is on there is a 10-25% chance that a tablet is coming out in the next hour.

• Bookmarking Pages:

This is one of my personal secrets. If you have Google Chrome you can easily see bookmarked pages. Have a page for Roblox's Profile, Catalog, and Let's Make a Deal. Refreshing these 3 pages will alert you if a tablet is out.

• Have About 10k Robux Handy

Black Friday is the one day of the year where the poor can become rich. If you really must. Sell things on your alts and mains until you have at least 5k. Like last year's Rainbow Shaggy. 2k robux can turn into 200k.

• Do Not Rest

Both the iPads and Black Friday will have items coming out at random times. For the iPads most have came out at midnight or very early in the morning. Black Friday items will come out from 12:00 AM-12:00 PM for the most part

A New ROBLOX Sponsorship?

Recently Shedletsky was found at a place called Lego Hero Factory: Breakout by LegoHeroFactory.


 In the past ROBLOX has created simple places for different companies such as KREO, Disney XD, the Three Stooges and many others. Shedletsky is definitely preparing for something judging from this ironnoob post where he asked users for futuristic buildings. If you look at the thumbnail of the place you can recognize some futuristic buildings that Shedletsky posted on that thread.


 I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to see what they've done this time. Judging by the thumbnail it's going to be good.

"Level Up" Sponsoring ROBLOX
