Where have BC Games gone?

The answer is; no where. However, it's not that simple, you may have noticed that BC Games have disappeared from the games page, their tab no longer exists.

The feature was introduced back in December 2010 and users were very vocal about the new feature. Opinions were mixed, many users without a Builder's Club membership felt they were being left out and features were being taken away from them. However, some users argued that it was simply adding a Builder's Club benefit, and was not actually taking anything away from the NBC experience. The point of the BC Game feature was for people to ultimately join BC, they would see a game they really wanted to play, and buy a premium membership.

John Shedletsky stated that the actual reason the BC Games tab was removed was because the system was heavily exploited by users. You may recall that many popular game owners, created two versions of their places; a BC version and a NBC version. This defeated the purpose of the feature, players would not need to buy BC to play the game they wanted, they would simply visit the NBC version. Meanwhile, place owners were making huge amounts of tickets exploiting the system and so ROBLOX removed the tab. John Shedletsky stated it was a 'failed experiment', but the tab may return.

In short, Builder's Club only games are not gone, you can still play them but you will not find them in the Games page.

Place Review: Build to Survive the Zombies

Build to Survive the Zombies
No, it's not the Miami Zombies, but it's the Roblox Zombies! Yes, this is another amazing review by the amazing refreshingwater. So, when I entered this place I was introduced by a place that was similar to Welcome to Roblox Building by Roblox. It had those black baseplates that you see at WtRB which only let you build in that area, and not anyone else. Anyway, you have to build to survive the zombie apocalypse before the time runs out. This place is created by DANGERTIM112.

I built a fort made out of bricks, which I thought was going to keep those zombies away! I was right! The zombies chased after me the entire time. I don't think the zombies even cared about the other users. When the round started, some epic survival music started playing. There are different types of zombies in this game, they're some weird zombies.

Well, I faced off against the saw zombies first, they weren't much of a challenge to me. I was expecting flying zombies who would come into my fort to kill me and eat my brains out and then... Well, you get the point. I went AFK for a bit, when I came back, I saw that I hadn't survived at all. I didn't play much of this game, I just don't know why...

Scripting: 8/10. It's pretty obvious this place has some scripts, I'm not sure if they're original.
Tools: 10/10. All necessary tools that will help you survive are provided.
Building: 10/10. You must build.
Community Enjoyment: 10/10. Many people enjoy this place very much.
Originality: 6/10. I've seen too many zombie games.
Deals with Problems: 7/10. Only problem that should be fixed is that zombies only chase after one person.
Reviewer's Experience with Lag: 10/10. No lag was experienced.
Difficulty: Medium.
Reviewer's Enjoyment: 10/10. I would've enjoyed it more if I'd played it longer.
Reviewer's Recommendation: 10/10. Sure, play this game, if you like zombie games.
Thumbnail's Review: 10/10. Looks nice.
Scenery: 10/10. Make your own scenery.

Overall: 8/10. Decent game overall.

Faleminderit për leximin! Dhe mos merrni truri juaj ngrënë nga zombies!

Classic hat review: Bandana

So, today I decided to have a look at the "Bandana", an old hat, and an old favourite hat of many, and this is how the review went.

Basic Stats:

-Created 1/27/2008
-Favorited 11,669 times
-Total Sold 17,736
Genre: All
-Description "This bandana is perfect for specialists on secret missions and kung-fu masters, as well as for people who just want their hat to billow dramatically in the wind."

Mesh:
The mesh of the Bandana is pretty small, and may be hard
to make out if you're wearing 2-3 hats, but otherwise it fits
well around the head.
7/10

Texture:
The texture for the Bandana is a plain, green-grey shade, which
is pretty basic, but I think it suits the hat to black or any other
colour, lacks detail though.
7/10

Creativity:
The hat is perfect for people who want to pretend to be a ninja,
so that is it's strong point, it may not have taken long to come up with,
as it is a fairly simple concept for a popular type of style.
8/10

Price:
At 600 tickets, I think you get good value for your money, as 600 tickets is
only about 60 robux, which may take a while for non-bc'ers to attain,
but I think if you bought it you would be pleased with your purchase.
8/10

Overall:
I highly recommend this hat, as you have many different choices of
how you want to wear it, and looks great on your character, and
at 600 tickets you can't really go wrong.
8/10

Desert Scout Hat Review

Another big winning retexture was just recently published. It was the Desert Scout, a retexture of the rare Artic Commando by JohnnyFlight. Unlike the Artic Commando, the Desert Scout was not quite as rare, having 1k in stock. It was also R$250. However, it quickly rose to prices of 3k-5k robux, making this a huge winning limited. Here's my review of it.

Desert Scout

Mesh: 8/10

This hat's mesh, along with the Artic Commando's, is designed to look like the ulitimate survival gear. It has nice goggles, but is also has one of those helmet-like things (I don't know the name of it) that helps keep you warm and protects you from disaster. The goggles are very nice and detailed and so is the helmet-like thing, but I have to admit I don't really understand or know what really is the helmet-like thing.

Texture: 9/10

The texture of this hat is very realistic and a nice touch, it makes you feel as if you would really this hat in a desert. I love the little dots throughout the hat added for extra detail and I love how the goggles look, but to me this texture is great but a little plain.

Style: 10/10

I do consider this hat great for making a desert-themed outfit or a military outfit. It fits perfectly on a regular robloxian head and looks very nice in game. It's also extremely good for making hat combos.

Value: 10/10

This hat was a huge winning limited, and sold out extremely fast. While this hat isn't really worth R$250 (in my opinion, it should have been R$30 like the original), it still is cheap compared to how it's now selling around 3k-5k robux. This hat was very similar to the overseer eye, as it was a retexture, just about every investor wanted it, it came out cheap and not rare, and made mega profit. There's a couple simple reasons as to why the Desert Scout made great profit. The first and most important reason is that it has a rare mesh, and people will pay a lot to get their hands on a rare hat or retexture of a rare hat. Second, just about everybody wanted it, including myself. The final reason is that it sold out extremely fast and the people who didn't get it now wanted it. In fact, when it first came out I got a notification from the ROBLOX hat notifier (it's a great google chrome app, I would recommend you should get it), and I immediantly rushed and bought it without thinking, and I got #12 out of 1000. I watched the Desert Scout almost 50 copies per second, which just showed how much it was in demand.
tl;dr version: if you got this hat at 250, you made a lot of money.

Overall: 9/10

The Desert Scout has been one of the most wanted retextures this summer, along with the overseer's eye. It made mega profit and I would recommend that if you bought it for 250 and you still have it, sell it now. It might drop drastically in the next few days. Besides the Desert Scout, some other retextures published this weekend were Magma Realm Mage by zerois, Lava Hair by Scootalicious, and Panda Knit by helloppl1404.

That's not all, there are still a lot of retextures BrightEyes has taken that might be published sometime soon.
(For those who are interested, here is a set with the retextures that  are probably going to come out soon)

In-Depth Trade Currency Guide

Trade Currency, or TC as I will be calling it, is an extremely easy way to make large amounts of money with little risk involved. I turned 1500R$ into 1700 R$ in just half an hour of doing it. It takes advantage of the fact that the Roblox TC does not have a fee attached and does not auto trade currency if the rates overlap. But that's getting to the advanced stuff, here's how to make quick money with it.

Requirements:

At least 100 Robux (could work with less, although not as well)
Calculator
This guide
This chrome extension (optional)*

Once you have all those, let's get started on our way to make insane amounts of money.
*If you want to learn more about this, read the section about it near the end.

Step 1: Navigate to the Roblox TC page.

Click on your Robux or Tix -> Click the Trade Currency tab

OR
Use THIS link

Step 2: Open up your calculator

Your calculator doesn't have to be fancy, the one on your computer should work alright.

Step 3: Learn the interface

It is EXTREMELY important to know the things you see on the TC page or else you will lose money. It might look complicated at first, however, I've simplified it to the 7 important parts you need to know to be able to make money.
Figure 1 - The spread of the rates at that particular time. To you, this means the amount of money you are going to make. Larger spread = better, however, there is a way to make money with negative spread that I am not going to explain in this guide.
Figure 2 - The Robux to Tix rate. You only need to look at the top number that is after the "@", in this case, the 9.9511
Figure 3 - The Tix to Robux rate. You only need to look at the top number that is after the "@" and the "1:", in this case, the 10.157
Figure 4 - Market Order or Limit Order. ALWAYS have it on Limit Order.
Figure 5 - The trade window where you put the numbers of Robux and Tix you want to trade.
Figure 6 - This box, when checked, allows your trade to be split into smaller trades. It is RECOMMENDED that you leave it checked for faster trades.
Figure 7 - Submit trade button.

Step 4: Start trading and making money.

NOTE: This guide assumes you start with Robux and there is a positive spread, if you have Tix, simply trade it over to Robux.
NOTE 2: Things in parenthesis " (  ) " are from the hypothetical situation above. Your numbers will be different.

1. The first thing you want to do is to input the amount of money you want to trade into your calculator. I recommend you start small (like 100 R$) just so you will not lose too much if you mess up.

2. Starting with Robux, you want to look the the Robux ratio to the right and pick a number slightly less than that. (In the case above, it is 10.157, so I pick 10.145)

3. Input the amount of money you want to trade with and MULTIPLY the ratio to it. Make sure to round down. (In this case, 100*10.145=1014.5, round down to 1014 tix)

4. Type the trade into the trade window. (What I'll give: 100 Robux.....What I want: 1014 Tickets)

5. If you did it right, your trade should now appear at the top of the Robux trade window. Now, simply wait until you get your tickets.

6. Now that you have the tickets from the last trade, look to the tickets trade window and find the ratio, then pick a number slightly LARGER than that. (In this case, 9.9511, so I pick 10.000)

7. Take the tickets you received (1014) DIVIDE it by the tickets ratio (10.000). Make sure to round down. (1014/10.000=101.4 rounded down to 101R$)

8. Type in the trade just like before but make sure you offer tickets for Robux this time.

9. Enjoy your profit! (We made a 1% profit of 1R$, however, you will make more profit the more money you use.)

The Chrome Extension

The extension is extremely helpful in that it has real-time updates of the spread on TC. I use it mostly so that I do not miss a time of really high spread ( >300) while I am surfing the web.

Place Showcase #1

I'm going to start doing something called "Place Showcase" where I show you places which don't require playing, but watching instead. These places showcased are well built. If you'd like to suggest a place for me to showcase, please refer to my Twitter.

Our first showcase is by the aviation enthusiast Crazyman32. His places are mostly about airplanes and air crafts. This place showcases his archived creations. So, think of this showcase as a showcase within a showcase. So, in showcases, I'll post screen shots of the places and talk about the screen shot with a few words. Crazyman32's place is called "Freeflight." So, let's begin.

Here we see one of Crazyman32's older creations, his helicopter. This helicopter is really realistic. You have to start it up by pressing 'E' on your keyboard. The blades start spinning. After they aren't visible you can take off. You can fly around the map with this helicopter and you can also change the color of the helicopter to whatever your heart pleases. Great helicopter by Crazyman32.

Here we see one of Crazyman32's newer creations, the Wingsuit. His Wingsuit is pretty hard to fly at first, but when you get the hang of it, it's fun! I was flying around the map in this Wingsuit. I still can't control this Wingsuit sometimes. This is one of the most difficult to fly. It makes some cool sounds when turned on, which makes this creation look and sound more realistic.

This next one is called a "Glider," which is used to glide around the map until you get to the ground. This creation is similar to the hand gliders that people use to jump off of mountains onto the beach. I glided on this around the map and landed into the water, only to slip and fall off of the map. In real life, people look like they are having fun. If you're afraid to do this in real life (like me) it's more fun to do this in a game.
This one is called a plane. It's really simple to fly. All you have to use to speed up and slow down are the arrow keys, which I'm not used to. You can reach speeds of up to 170 mph, which is really fast. Be careful though, this plane can crash and blow up and kill you too. So, all of these air crafts are very cool. I would suggest trying them all.

Well, this was our first showcase, I really hope you enjoyed. So, our next showcase is Windmill Island by the user Windmillisland. For updates on future showcases, contests, reviews, and more, check my Twitter daily! Also, I'll be posting at the end of every new post "Thanks for reading" in many different languages.

Community Article: Catalog Heaven Place Review

As a new community poster I bring you my first place review. Today's review is on a well known testing place named Catalog Heaven. It was created on May 8, 2010 by Seranok. Since then it has seen almost four million users. Catalog Heaven is a place where many things can occur. Some of these things are that you can get together with old friends, duel on bridges, test silly hat combos, or just brutally gain knockouts. Whatever your style, this game is truly for everyone. Recently I went into to a server for the first time. I was truly impressed by the scripting shown by the creator. Although the map could be argued to be poorly made, he definitely makes up for it in his scripting skills.

Scripting: 10/10
The scripting in Catalog Heaven is almost mesmerizing. The creator obviously put a lot of effort into the selection GUI. The GUI is very well organized, as it contains subtopics to narrow your search such as a search bar, a pricing subtopic (R$ and tix) and an item type subtopic (hat, gear, etc.). With this you can alter your appearance or test anything you want. Everything ever published is included, so you can test those items you never had the chance to buy. Also you have the ability to use a GUI that toggles the force field around your spawning area. This can be useful as it makes it possible to test gravity effecting gears such as balloons or the gravity coil. Although this is true, upon visiting I learned it was more utilized for sniping people below or quicker transportation the  map below. The last scripted item was the teleportation pad inside the spawning room that took you immediately to the map. Sadly people would then wait for you to teleport and then spawn kill.

Gameplay: 8/10
There is much to do in the small map. You can test virtually anything before you buy it, such as testing a new look or just testing any gear you want. Sadly many people come here to gain knockouts from new and inexperienced players. They select drastically over powered weapons and kill anyone; not caring if they are only testing docile gear. Although fighting and testing are the main purposes of the game, there are more than just those two aspects. You can also just hang out with friends or even make new friends. My favorite thing to do in Catalog Heaven has to be dueling with friends on one of the two bridges that hang over the spike pit. Although the only pitfall of this is other players or your opponent may place traps that turn invisible after some time. This can also be a useful tactic by standing on the bridge surrounded by traps and lure people out and into the traps.

Popularity in the Community: 8/10
The place is more popular with experienced players than those of new. This mostly because the experienced players are more apt to know the best weapons and how to use them against less educated and newer players. Feedback from a friend of mine, Skitty7, who frequently plays there says that,"It's a lot of fun to test everything but there are occasionally those really annoying people who just spawn kill and prevent you from having fun testing things like lol gears or silly hat combinations."

Popularity to Me: 10/10
I really like this place as it brings out the joy in me while testing silly hats or gears with fun effects. I can get an entire server to laugh with me or at me with my quirky anttics I can show off with these gears and hats at my disposal. I would really enjoy to see this place flourish with good fighters, but also ones that can step back for a moment and just laugh it off.

Overall Score: 9/10

Many thanks to Regilord for providing this brilliant Community Article!

The Conquerors v2.0 by HatHelper Review

I was asked on twitter to do a review of The Conquerors, a Roblox RTS (real time strategy)  game, which is made by the famous HatHelper. I had experience with this, and The Little Men (another similar styled game), and it wasn’t really a good experience. When I loaded up and played the game, it only validated my predictions.

Gameplay
This was the part that is really for working for me. Specifically, the gameplay is EXTREMELY slow paced because of several things. Number one, the length of a single game, from what I can tell, is 2 hours long, which is an enormous amount of time. Secondly, the game is too easy to “turtle” in, for example, heavy turrets and forts are extremely cheap, powerful, and quick to build. (Turtle, when used in a RTS game, is a strategy where one player continues to stay in their base and build defences.) Lastly, the horrid interface makes the experience even worse. There are a total of four menus, meaning that you could not control your units while trying to train units. The game makes little use of hot keys which means you could spend precious time in a battle to try to click to a different menu.

Scripting
While this game certainly took lots of great scripting, I’m not feeling it while playing this game. For example, the game has about a 2 second delay on your actions and many glitches occur in which your units fly off the map. Perhaps the game needs to be more optimized to reduce the ridiculous amounts of lag.

Building
Not much building was necessary in this game, most of it is very simple.

Balancing *NEW (for me at least)*
He does sell a VIP shirt that gives some QOL (quality of life) changes such as a higher move speed, hotkey system (WHY YOU NO INCLUDE IN REGULAR GAME?), and radars. He also sells a VIP shirt that improves income, which I do not approve of.

Rating:
Gameplay: 5/10
Scripting: 6/10
Building: 7/10
Balancing: 6/10
Overall: 6/10

Conclusion
I really did not enjoy this game as it is way too slow paced and not responsive. Unless you like grinding away 2 hours of time in a game with terrible interface, I would avoid it (sorry HatHelper).

I'm currently writing a book called "Freeing Dignity."

No, I will not stop writing reviews. I will write both the book and reviews. The book is introduced on the official blog which can be found here. The entire book will be on that blog. All of the chapters will be on that blog. This book will be a three part book. All parts will be in the same book. No, it won't be an interactive book, just a post with a bunch of words on it.

I first thought I was going to make this a movie, but then decided to write a book about it instead. The book will be written in first person for the most part of the book. I'm going to publish two chapters every day. So, check back at the blog often.

Sheriff Tarabyte Hat Review

Hey there! BillCheesey5 here, again, with a review of the new hat "Sheriff Tarabyte".
Let's go. Also; welcome Yomamadude6 to the RN team. Have a good time!

Mesh: The mesh of this hat was used twice before, so this is the third time it's been used. Still pretty cool though! It looks like a real cowboy's (or cowgirl's!) hat, and it fits nice and snuggily. Hehe. Snuggily. What an amazing word. A tinsy-winsy bit small though. 9/10.

Texture: Purple, yay! The hat itself is a nice shade of purple, and it just seems... nice. The sheriff badge of this hat is nice and shiny! Well, shiny-looking, at least. Nice. 10/10.

*Note* The name is kinda a pun, seeing as Tarabyte is one of the Sheriff of Retextures... and this is a Retexture... *buh dum tss*

Value for Money: Nice, I think it's one of those hats that should be 85 robux, maybe 95. But who's gonna judge over a few robux? 9.9/10.

Overall: this hat is nice, it's a pun (kinda not really), and it fits nice on your head. I suggest buying, it's nicely priced. It earns a cool 9/10.

Scripting Help #1

Hello, BCGames here. I'm going to be posting daily scripting help. The problem with most people trying to learn to code Lua is not that they can't, but rather they try to speed through it. I have been coding Lua for three (3) years now. And I'm still learning! Today's topic will be about the different types of loops. The most commonly used loop is the while loop. While there isn't a problem with it, the way most people use it, does result in issues. Here is the typical useage:

while true do
   wait()
   -- code
end

Now, that's fine and dandy, only that could create massive lag. Here is a better version:

while true do
   wait(2)
   -- code
end

The first example will run about 2,000 time a minute, while the second will only run 30 times a minute.

The next type of loop is called the for do loop. This loop will make it run a certain amount of times. Here is an example:

for i=1,10 do
   wait()
   print(i)
end

This will print the numbers 1-10, then stop. There are many ways to use the for do but those are more advanced and I'll get to that in a later post.

The final loop is the repeat until loop. This will repeat a piece of code until a criteria is met. Here is a simple example:

x=10
y=0
repeat
y = y +1
wait(5)
until y == x

This will continue the loop until the value of y is the same as the value of x.

I hope this helped!

Place Review: Paintball!

This week, I decided to review one of Jared's places. Which is assumed of being stolen from another person. I seriously don't want to even take a step into his place, as it is always off-topic of the title's name. I have no clue if he does this on purpose, or on accident. This will be one of my more harsh reviews, so be prepared for some low ratings.

On entry, I get placed in a spawn room. I started hearing Easter Zombies, and my thoughts were "hacked," and so it was. I spent about five minutes listening to those zombies, so I decided to leave the server. I joined another server, no noise this time. But, there seemed to be no one playing the game, my thoughts were "hacked." Everyone in the server wasn't in the map, they were in the spawn room. So, I decided to give up on this place and head home. Yes, jaredvaldez4 "made" this..

How's it doing now? Call of Robloxia 5 - Roblox At War

So, if you were a fan of Roblox News in September 2011, you remember I joined the Roblox News team in that month. My first review was of Call of Robloxia 5 - Roblox At War, which got a pretty good review. Well, obviously, it's been many months since that review, and I'm sure the place has changed by a lot. I used to begin with the review of the thumbnail, but I'll save that for the end.

On entrance, there are many updates to the game that are noticeable. He finally added something on the GUI upon entering. There have been changes to the classes too. He has now added new weapons, side arms, and perks. Nothing has really changed in the spawn room. Time to go into the game play.

Well, there are new maps in this game now. I played in a map named "City," which was contributed by 1dev2. I played for a while and saw that the creator of this place is working on a new project on one of his alts. Also, he added a new warning system, which tells you when the match will end. I was enjoying the game, until it started freezing the characters and pretty much creating lag. I wasn't lagging, but other users were. There were heads here, legs over there, arms somewhere else. It was havoc. I still enjoy the game as before. The Molotov I had was a bit interesting. It had that little thing when you hold a tomahawk in COD it shows that little square thing. It was there when I tried throwing my Molotov. It makes the game feel more like COD, which is almost the game's name just replace the D with an R.

The game had definitely changed over the months. It's not as exciting as before, but still pretty exciting. I've just a lot of interest in the COD series, so why play a game related to that on Roblox? I don't know either.

Scripting: 10/10. Mostly the same scripts, there are some new ones.
Tools: 10/10. All tools are provided in this game.
Building: 10/10. No maps were made by the owner, but he gives credit.
Community Enjoyment: 10/10. I'm sure a lot of people enjoy this game and enjoy returning to the game another day.
Originality: 7/10. I've seen too many war games.
Creativity: 9/10. Creative... I'm going to remove this rating...
Deals with Problems: 9/10. That minor problem with the lag.
Reviewer's Experience with Lag: 6/10. Lag was experienced.
Difficulty: Medium. You have to be careful not to get owned.
Reviewer's Enjoyment: 8/10. I enjoyed it a little less.
Reviewer's Recommendation: 10/10. I recommend it to you.
Thumbnail's Review: 10/10. Decent thumbnails.
Scenery: 10/10. Self-explanatory.

Overall: 8/10. Decent game, hasn't dramatically changed, but it has changed to make me get more bored.

Gear Review: Icedagger (Live Commentary)

Gear Review: Icedagger

Hey all, Ulquiorra98 again, here with a review of the Icedagger. Seeing as this isn't just any old gear (it's a Sword Fight on the Heights sword) I chose to do a live commentary video review of it! You may notice my British accent throughout the video, which I keep interchanging for my real voice, and I apologize in advance if it gets you a little mixed up. Well, that said, kick back, relax, and enjoy your show!

Place Review; Bluesteel Brawl By IBarrageI

Hey there guys! BCGames here to give you the newest place review! Today we are looking at a new game by our very own IBarrageI! The game is called Bluesteel Brawl. It is currently in the Alpha state, but it's still very fun. Well, lets get started on the review, shall we?

Place Image

Name Bluesteel Brawl
Creator IBarrageI

This game has a lot of great bluesteel items, and it should as the name is Bluesteel Brawl. The scenery includes a vast amount of items crafted from the legendary bluesteel. These items include Bluesteel Domino Crowns, Bluesteel Viking Helms, Bluesteel Olympic Rings, Bluesteel Eggs, and Bluesteel Bathelms. The arena is also made of bluesteel and is gold trimmed, meaning the edges are made of gold.

There are a few weapons in the game at the moment, and there are sure to be more. Let's take a look at the weapons.

The first weapon is the Bluesteel Sword. It's just like the classic sword, only it's blade is a piece of razor sharp bluesteel. I wouldn't want to be hit with that! The damage is average for the classic sword, so it's a great starter weapon.

The next weapon is the Bluesteel Claws. These are razor sharp talons! Each claw was forcefully taken from the legendary Bluesteel Dragon. These claws do a good amount of damage, and are a worthy advisary for the Bluesteel Sword.

The final weapon is the Bluesteel Katana. Handcrafted by IBarrageI himself, this sword sparkles with bluesteel, and have the ability to increase your walkspeed. The blade is a tooth of the Bluesteel Dragon, so I imagine IBarrageI had a tough time getting this sword made. This sword does MASSIVE damage, but due to the sometimes lack of rails, you run off by mistake. Be careful!

There is really only one GUI, and that's an announcement GUI. The only problem with it is that is seems to be misplaced. Perhaps IBarrageI used offset rather than scale... I don't know. The last thing is the most important part. The leaderboard. It has your typical stats, KOs and WOs.

Overall, I think this is a great game. I normally would say that Sword Fighting games are overused, but this concept has blown me away. Even I'd never think of it! Kudos IBarrageI!

You know you've been waiting for it...the scores. Here they are:

Design: 8/10 Great design. It must have taken careful planning!

Concept: 9/10 As I said, I've never seen a game like this. Great job!

Originality: 10/10 Ok, I know Sword Fighting games aren't quite original, but this isn't just any Sword Fighting games. This. Is. BLUESTEEL!!!!!

See you guys next time, and remember, follow @Zynnar on Twitter!

Gear Review: Shark Launcher (LIVE COMMENTARY)

Gear Review: Shark Launcher (LIVE COMMENTARY VIDEO)

Hey guys, I promised I'd do another one to make up for not doing any for a while, and decided it would be fun to do a live commentary video for this gear review. Now, this is my first time, so I am a complete noob when it comes to things like these. Hopefully, that doesn't show too much in the video, lol (It probably does). So, you can just sit back, grab a bag of popcorn, and enjoy the show. Oh, and please silence your cell phones now. Hope you guys enjoy it!

Yeah, sorry for the noob-iness portrayed in this video...

Classic Place Review Week: SFOTHIV

Sword Fights on the Heights IV_Image
Yes, this is my final classic review. It's being published late because I was really busy with the sword fighting tournament, which is being promoted on RN. I'll review the thumbnail here, just because it's so majestic. This was not the thumbnail a few years ago, it was something different. But, Shedletsky decided to make this game a lot better. Let's begin with the final classic review of Refreshingwater.

I've played this game more than once, it's one of my favorite sword fighting games, next to sfotho. When we enter, we are placed on a random spawn in a random part of the very large map. We are given the original sword, which is not the only weapon. You then have to run around killing your enemies with your sword, sounds fun right? There may be people carrying different types of swords with them, I'll tell you about these later. Anyway, the objective in this game is to kill your enemies. There is no time limit nor point limit. You just kill until you get bored. I've seen a player get over one thousand kills, he was probably playing for more than three hours.

Now, as promised, I'm going to talk about the tools in this game. There are many different types of swords in this game, I won't explain all of them and what is the effect and damage. But, I will name them all. Darkheart, Illumina, Venomshank, Firebrand, Ice Dagger, Windforce, and Ghostwalker. Those are all of the swords you can use. There is also armor around the map, it will assist you greatly. There is also a health pack, which restores your health back to 100%. There's also portals that take you into an area where you are safe from harm until you leave that area.

This place was created in 2008, it has been visited over 5,000,000 times. The game has gone through major changes in recent years. If you're reading this, please be aware that the place can change after the review and my opinion wont be the same. The rating wasn't placed in the second classic review and it will be placed now, I won't explain why I gave the number in this review.

Scripting: 10/10
Tools: 10/10
Building: 10/10
Community Enjoyment: 9/10
Originality: 10/10
Creativity: 10/10
Deals with Problems: 8/10
Reviewer's Experience with Lag: 10/10
Difficulty: Easy
Reviewer's Enjoyment: 10/10
Reviewer's Recommendation: 10/10

Overall: 10/10

Thanks for reading,
Refreshingwater.

Gear Review: RC Tank

Gear Review: RC Tank
Yeah, I know it's been a while since I've written a gear review up, but I'll make it up to all of you with not one, but TWO reviews today! So, let's get to it then, shall we? First up, we have the new RC Tank! As the name implies, this is a remote controlled gear, like the Formula R Remote Control Car and the Dusek Car. Speaking of cars, I had a sandwich for lunch! Just kidding, that has nothing at all to do with cars. You know what do, though? Gear reviews. Speaking of gear reviews...

Abilities/Effects: 8/10

Don't be fooled by it's size; this tank packs quite the punch! Upon clicking, you'll "become one with the tank," and will see the battlefield through the eyes of the tank... er... figuratively speaking. Tanks don't have eyes, as I'm sure you know. The RC Tank shoots off gray, circular studs, which explode in your opponent's face on impact, and reloads fairly quickly. Even though it looks pretty spectacular, it takes 4 shots to get a proper knockout, leaving plenty of time for him to get you first. You see, when you're in this tank-state, your avatar is left completely helpless. It's "virtually" a sitting-duck (I should really work on my puns). But, this gear also has an effect that comes in handy when you're outnumbered. Supposing you're in a situation where your teammates have deserted you (or turned into mutant zombies, either is quite likely) and the opposition outnumbers you 4 to 1. Assuming they're all fairly close to one another, just whip out your trusty RC Tank, fire at one, and watch as all 4 lose 1/4 of their health! That means (if the enemy is within close proximity of one another), you can KO 4 people in 4 shots!

Appearance: 9/10

This tank's got the classic camouflage look, which I personally like. From the image in the Catalog, it's pretty realistic looking, which is another plus. There's not much else to say about it in this category, but overall it's got a fan-"TANK"-stick look!

Pricing: 7/10

Well, I do like the gear, which is mainly due to my liking of blowing things up, but the price its listed at seems just too much for it. At 2,000 ROBUX, this is the most expensive of any Remote Controlled gears out there. In fact, it's one of the most expensive non-limited gears published! Sure it's got some pretty neat effects, but I'd have to say that this is one of those "too much for too little" kind of gears.

Overall: 8/10

I'll keep this one short and to the point: Good gear. Bad price. Perhaps that's too short... I'll just add another sentence to stretch this out a bit. Well, stay tuned for another review heading your way!

Arb's Hat Reviews: Overseer Eye!

Hello there ladies and gentlemen. Today I bring you a review of the much talked about retexture: 'Overseer's Eye'! This hat was created by the talented user: dastuke, and is designed to go with 'The Overseer' package.
.

The Mesh 10/10

A classic mesh indeed, this hat uses the original mesh from the Crimson Catseye and other 'Eye' hats. Sticking with tradition, the round shape fits perfectly on a ROBLOXian's character and really brings out that classic feel from years ago.

The Texture 10/10

The texture on this retexture is great, it's extremely detailed with the green flames licking the side of the eye. The slit like appearance of the eye reminds me of some kind of serpent creature giving the hat a cold-blooded feel. The glint on the eyeball makes for a nice finishing touch.

The Creativity 9/10

This retexture is extremely creative, who would have thought such a brilliant idea could come from a simple package? However, this means the hat was based on an exisiting item and so drops a point, but don't let me fool you, it's still brillaint.

The Value for Money 10/10

This was a BC Limited U hat and was sold was sold for the ridiculously cheap price of R$50, keeping to the ROBLOX 'eye hat' tradition of low pricing. With 1500 in stock it sold out within minutes and sky-rocketed to the price of R$3500. It was well worth the price and was a lot lower than people expected.

Overall 10/10

Overall, this is a brilliant retexture. With it's beautiful design and memorizing colours: it is a must buy for any eye hat collector or any other ROBLOXian who wants to look good!

This hat certainly gives The Crimson Catseye a run for it's money...

Rainbow Equinox Hat Review

Yay, another review. Let's get straight into it!  RAINBOW TIME!

Mesh: This mesh is the same mesh used for the "Equinox" hat (no wonder it's called Rainbow Equinox), and I like it. It looks like my hair when I get out of bed. Anyway; it's nice, it's spiky, and it just looks awesome. 10/10.

Texture: The texture is brilliant. With the mesh, it looks like a Rainbow Shaggy gone rogue. It's rainbow; a must-have for a lot of people. It has the actual colours of a rainbow, not just a random clash of colours they call a Rainbow. No. Just an actual rainbow. 10/10

Value for Money: The value for money was very good, it's like the Rainbow Shaggy's more... informal brother (or sister!). I think the price was very good at 100 R$. Definitely worth it. Now it's selling for a whopping 1.8k! Massive profit to be made! 10/10

Overall, this hat is very cool (cool is actually an understatement in this case), and was originally at a very good price. Now it's selling for 1.8K, so get in fast before it goes to 3K or more! Overall score: 10/10!

Retexture Weekend!

It's getting close to summer, and BrightEyes has taken a lot of user-made retextures to be released. One of them, the Overseer's Eye, has gotten lots of attention in the community and sparks debate that the Overseer's Eye will be the next Crimson Catseye. Another retexture, the Rainbow Fedora, has been disputed in the community as many think it would fail as a hat. Last weekend, six retextures were published and here is a summary of each.

Redcliff Cowl

The first retexture published was the Redcliff Cowl, an excellent retexture by BloxFlakes that our blog discovered. It is at the price of 125 robux and is for Builder's Club Members only. It has already become a favorite with the ROBLOX community, selling over 1,000 copies and gaining over 300 favorites.

Rainbow Equinox

The next retexture published was the Rainbow Equinox by grumpyhumpy. While it's not the best retexture (it's just a rainbow texture applied to a hat), it is a winning limited. It was originally 100 robux and had 1,500 in stock. It then rose all the way to 2,000 robux, making this the first limited in a while that has risen to high numbers.

Soldier Of The Fade

The Soldier of the Fade is the next hat in the Fade line of hats. (The first was the Knight of the Fade.) It was created by Turtwigz who created Knight of the Fade as well. It was limited and was 400 robux with 1,000 in stock. Due to having too many in stock it failed for profit, but it is a great looking hat and would recommend buying it.

Azurewrath: Lord of Destruction

The newest hat in the Azurewrath line, Azurewrath: Lord of Destruction is an excellent retexture by dastuke. It was limited and was 5,000 robux like the Psychadelic Top Hat and Glaurung the Greedy, two other limited hats released recently. However, like the Psychadelic Top Hat and Glaurung the Greedy, it had way too many in stock. This Azurewrath hat had 250 in stock and sold extremely slow. It failed for profit, but it is a great hat.

 Plaid Snowboarder

Another retexture released last weekend was the Plaid Snowboarder by BLOX31. It's not limited and at the price of 55 robux. Even though this hat should have come out in winter rather than summer, it is still a "cool" hat.

Alligator Skin Top Hat

The last retexture released last weekend was the Alligator Skin Top Hat, made by JohnnyFlight. It's a nice southern-themed top hat at a good price of 500 robux. It's not selling very fast though because many like the other retextures much more than this.

The retextured hats last week were pretty epic, and were some of the best limiteds I've seen this year. Keep your "overseeing" eyes on the lookout because there are still lots of retextures BrightEyes has taken that aren't out yet, especially the Overseer's Eye.
