Bluesteel and Wanwood Bundles: Are they worth it?

Okay, so a while ago ROBLOX sent out an E-Mail about gamecards and stuff, and at the bottom hinted about a "day after Christmas sale." That turned into two days of non-limited hats and a few packages. Yippee. Well, during that "sale," two things called Bundles were released. They are pretty much sets of hats that are discounted and stuffed into one group, and somehow fits under the "Packages" part of ROBLOX's Inventory. So I'm going to be writing about each package, and if it's "Worth it or Forget it," or whatever Chubbs/TheInnovative said in those other blog posts..

Bluesteel Bundle

 

 They made a group of great looking hats, bundled them together, and actually priced them at a pretty good price, 500 R$ for the shades, 750 R$ for the headphones, and 500 R$ for the bow tie. Okay, maybe it's a little overpriced, but they look amazing together.

The bundle is priced at 1,575 R$, which is 10% off what the prices of the items separate would be. If you like Bluesteel items, I suggest buying this bundle, it's a great an okay deal.

Wanwood Bundle

And then the Bluesteel Bundle was followed up by.. this.. thing. Okay, so Brighteyes wanted to make some Wanwood items. Well, my question is, WHAT IS THIS? The Wanwood texture doesn't look right on the meshes; it's light green with blotches of darker green throughout the tie and fedora. Don't even get me started on that swordpack. Apart, it's 1,000 R$ for the fedora, 250 R$ for the swordpack, and 100 R$ for the tie. Okay, the swordpack and tie prices are.. alright.. I guess... but the fedora? NO!

The bundle is priced at 1,215 R$, once again 10% off of the price that all the items would be individually. If it wasn't so ugly, it would be a great deal. I guess two good bundles at the same time is too much to ask for.

Package Review: Ace Ranger

Hey guys, I know school has started up for most of you this week and today I am here to bring back a back to school package review! Today I’m going to be reviewing the 40$ Roblox Card from Gamestop package called AceRanger so let’s get into it. 

Mesh: The mesh is very nice, I must say. The mesh has a brown vest and shoulder pads with fancy spikes coming out of it. It also has a wrist band with spikes on it making the Ace Ranger look like a punk. The last bit of detail on this package would be the old looking brown boots, the boots look nice with the vest which they match color. Overall I give this Mesh a 8/10!

Texture:  The texture for this package is pretty nice but yet pretty bland. It’s mostly just a brown colored vest with spikes on a shoulder pad, not to mention the brown Mohawk and axe. The texture is quite basic and I wish roblox had made more detail with the texture. I give it a 8/10

Hat and gear: The hat for this package is a tiny brown Mohawk that takes up barely any space on the avatar’s head and for that I don’t enjoy it. I wish roblox had made a helmet of some sort to fit in with the ice ranger theme. The Mohawk really doesn’t have a texture, just brown with lines through it, simple. The Axe gear that comes with this package is a basic steel axe with a red and spiked helmet, a much better texture then the Mohawk and package itself and has a better mesh then the Mohawk and package although the axe is very weak, it can still perform well with a double swipe which requires one click on the mouse. I give the hat and gear a 9/10

Overall: 8.5/10

I give this package 8.5/10 because roblox could have made this package slightly better especially because it costs 40 American Dollars  and because it’s a reward to you for buying their product. I do personally enjoy this package, what do you think? Let me know in the comments bellow!

BloxCon Item Reviews!

Hi, RayMan36 again. Today I'll be reviewing all of the Chicago BloxCon items, other than the Hackathon prizes. I'll review those later.

I wanted to make sure that all of the items were actually in the catalog before I reviewed them.

These items are only the ones that you can get from going to BloxCon, not like the hat The Windy City.

Let's Begin!

1. Chicago Bloxcon Black Fedora

This is the bloxcon hat for anybody who ordered their bloxcon tickets early. The mesh is nice; it fits nicely on your character. The texture is alright, for the colors are nice, but the little pictures look like a 3 year old stuck stickers to a fedora. The band also looks a little strange - a block colour would look more effective. I give it a 7/10, also because it is slightly rarer then the white fedora

2. Chicago Bloxcon White Fedora

This is a nice bloxcon hat for any Chicago ticket buyers. The mesh is just like the other one. The texture, in my opinion, is better; It looks like a JJ's white fedora. Another reason why I like the texture is the outlines of the little Chicago pictures are gone. I give it a 9/10.

3. ROBLOX Pinstripe Fedora

This is a fedora that you could've bought at the merchandise booth. I do not believe you got it  from only buying the actual fedora; you had to buy it separate. The mesh is ill- fitting on your character; it is too flat, and a little small. The texture is good; a nice pinstripe with a roblox pin. It does represent the actual fedora, here's a picture (credit to Ray for Modeling)

4. Chicago News man

This is my favorite package. You got it by buying $50 worth of roblox merchandise at the booth. I thought, hey, why the heck, it's not like I'm going to be here next week! Sure, it was a little expensive (about 38 pounds at the London BLOXcon) but this is a major step up from The Crook Package. I like the idea of having packages for bloxcon, and the London one looks great. Anyway, the only thing I don't like is that the skin tone on the hands is a little too pale for any of the head colors, and I would've liked to see the hands transparent. The fedora and everything about it is , so I give this a 10/10.

The Crook Package Review

The Crook

“I didn't put you in a prison, Evey. I just showed you the bars.”

This was a package made on the Memorial Day sale. I always wanted a suit package, but I really don’t like this one. I’ll go into detail about this later.

Mesh- 6/10 This looks like someone put a couple details on the gunslinger package. The tie and rose isn’t detailed at all, but the hands are (sort of creepy). The mesh for the top fedora is way off; it looks like a pinstripe setson. The feet are like gunslinger and 3.0 feet combined. The guy also looks like he has a big gut, but a skinny frame; that could just be the thumbnail that’s deceiving me.

Texture- 7/10 The texture is disappointing. It is really simple but if I wanted just a pinstripe suit, I could have bought the example to the right. It does fulfil it's purpose however, and can be the attire of a mafia boss. 

Price- 6/10 For a price of 1000 R$, this isn't worth it. It’s a bad purchase compared to other recent packages available for a fraction of the price. Instead of buying that for the fedora, buy Perfectly Legitimate instead; it’s a much better fedora.

Overall 6/10  
Featuring a realistic frame and human looking hands (we will take that as a good thing), this package delivers a reasonable appearance for the owner. However, the extremely plain texture on the hat, the pinstripe styled suit and the price really let this body package down.

Package Review: Lord Jahrfyre the Grim

Package Review: Lord Jahrfyre the Grim

     

 Now, normally, I don't review items like packages, but an exception most definitely had to be made for this beast of a package. As the more observant of you have noted from the way I described it as "beast of a package," I really, really, like this item. However, before I get to this review, I'd like to address something that you've all probably thought a bit odd - the thumbnail. "Why the mustache and ponytail?" you ask, to which I answer, "Well, when I hear the name Jahrfyre, the first thing that pops into my head is an image of a mustache-clad, pony-tail adorned knight. Don't ask." Now that that's taken care of, let's get down to the review!

Appearance: I love just about every piece of this package. The armor itself is a fantastic crimson color; the murky brown of the gloves and boots perfectly complements that crimson color, and the added brown spikes around the collar, the shoulders, and the gloves tell people that you're not a man to be messed with. I particularly like the boots, as one can wear the boots with other packages, like the ROBLOX 2.0 one for example, and they mesh perfectly. I myself wore the boots along with the 2.0 package back when I had my Clockwork's Headphones and JJ5x5 Top Hat. Absolutely amazing. 10/10.

Pricing: Well, now here's were we confront the only downside I see to this package - the price. At a hefty 2,000 ROBUX, Lord Jahrfyre is one of the most expensive packages in the Catalog. Even with the enormous price-tag, I still saw it as a worthy buy, which is why it's sitting in my inventory, and if you have enough money, I'd suggest you buy it as well. I suppose a large price is in order for a package as epic as the Jahrfyre one, though. 8/10.

Overall: 9/10.

The Overseer Vs. The Knightmare Review!

Hey! Today I'm mixing things up by doing a "Double Review", which is where I review both the items in one review, compare them, and then announce the winner. Today I will be reviewing two of the packages added to the catalog at the weekend called: The Overseer and the Knightmare. Here we go!

Mesh: The meshes of both these bodies are fantastic; both very futuristic, and warlike too. However, the Knightmare's legs look like a bird's, which isn't very fitting, and the Overseer's legs are a bit undersized. I think the leg-making skills need to be practised. Knightmare: 8/10 The Overseer: 8/10

No one wins this round as it is a tie!

Texture: The textures are easily the best part of these bodies; nice colours, perfect and vibrant. Wait, are those EYES on the Overseer's chestplate? They look like Cat's eyes. A green version of the Crimson Catseye... *makes prediction*. The Knightmare's texture is nice and purple, has no cats eyes on it, and also has nice shading. Knightmare: 8/10 The Overseer: 10/10

The winner of this round is the Overseer! 

Value for Money: The price for the Knightmare is currently 625 Robux, whereas the Overseer's price was  1500 Robux (it's offsale now). Bit of a price difference, but that's not too much of a worry. The Knightmare was kind of worth it's price tag, with spiky spikes on it that look like they could cause a lot of damage (but can't. It would actually be really cool if it did *hints to Roblox admins*). The Overseer came with mini-Crimson Catseyes on them, which are usually thousands of Robux. Knightmare: 7/10 The Overseer: 9.1/10.

The winner of this round is also the  Overseer!

Overall the Overseer WINS! Too bad it's offsale. If you got one, you should know it was totally worth the money. The Knightmare is also very good, the penguin feet annoy me however.

Captain Crimson Jack Review

Hi there! I'm back with another review! Here's my review of the Captain Crimson Jack body package. This is my first body package review, so wish me luck!

Mesh: The mesh looks like a pirate's body; I guess that's what it's supposed to be like. The arms are the best part for me. Because they actually have hands, and not just oddly shaped knobs. That belt is a nice touch as well. 8.9/10.

Texture: The colour is nice; and the skull on the belt looks nice too. The buckle on the shoe looks shiny and golden, and the wooden leg looks good. 7/10.

Value for Money: I do not think this is worth 525 Robux. Maybe 350 - 450 Robux would be nice. Why? Because... I don't know. Just, to me, it doesn't seem like it should cost 525 Robux. 6/10.

Package Review: Korblox General

Mesh: 10/10
Absolutely awesome mesh, possibly the best package ever released to the catalog! I love the bulky armour and the large crystals sticking out it which really add some style to your ROBLOXian warrior.

Texture: 9/10
The grey colour scheme really suits this body and I believe the crystals look exactly as you would expect them to do. The crystal gauntlets and purple fingers look really nice together. I gave the texture a 9 because a couple of sections are a tad pixelated, but this is not a major problem.

Price: 9/10
The price is not too expensive at R$1500. Of course; this isn't the cheapest item around, but you have to consider you are paying for quality, this package literally packs quality. A bit of saving and you'll be able to afford the the Korblox General in no time!

Overall: 9.3/10
Overall a brilliant body and a worthy addition to the collection of fantastic Korblox items! Price is quite reasonable for what you get and it looks great with any kind of medieval hat or gear.

Now you can be that dark, evil warrior that you always wanted to be!

The New Package has a Raygun!

This package is the first to have a gear. Well the texture is very sifi, and its very bright.

Creativity:
This is very creative, having the blue bars makes it stand out. Many of you may have not noticed, but this looks closely to what the background of the sitetest looks like:

Plus this texture fits it's mesh.

The Hat:

The hat should be bigger, because it looks way to small for the package.

The Raygun

Seems to be a little bit big for the hands in the package, I suggest making the mesh of the Raygun smaller.
