Roblox Rally: What REALLY Happened.

So, recently there have been a ton of rumours in the Forums about what happened at the Roblox Rally and what got released. I haven't been trusting these rumours because you never know who actually went to the Rally, and who just made up rumours to get peoples hopes up. I talked to my friend Newtrat about if they were real, or if people just made them up. Here's what he said;

"Trading system WAS discussed at the rally. According to Sorcus, though, it wasn't part of our initial plans. Rather, when Telamon and builderman were giving a talk, they asked the audience for ideas and said they'd work on whatever was most popular. That turned out to be a trading system (which tons of people have wanted for ages, admittedly). So... that's going to happen.

NBC bodies were not announced, and I don't think they'll happen (at least not soon). Currently it seems like body morphs are supposed to be some of the many perks of purchasing BC.

Liquid parts were not announced, either, and again there are no plans (as far as I know) for making them.

Here are some more things that were announced / officially introduced:

100-player games

Terrain: a new feature that basically makes an unbelievably massive baseplate (several million parts) run well. (The terrain is basically made up of a bunch of square blocks of the same kind of part. It's hard to explain, but you'll understand it better if you're able to see a video from the rally sometime soon.)

New part sets for the stamper tool (that thing from Welcome to ROBLOX Building)

iPhone App (which keeps ROBLOX's website mechanics (marketplace) but has a totally different game)

Personal Servers (multiple people can build in the same instance of the same place at the same time)

Teleports

As you have no doubt realized, none of these (except teleports, woohoo!) are actually available yet, at least not on the main ROBLOX site. The Rally just gave a bunch of sneak peeks into what the company has been working on and hopes to get finished in the coming weeks and months.

There is also one other feature we were going to debut at the Rally... but no one in the forums is talking about it, so maybe that talk was canceled.

Anyway, the confusion about liquids and NBC bodies seems to be this: They were other suggestions at that even where Telamon and builderman asked for ideas, but trading, rather than either of them, won out as the most popular idea.
