Gear Overview: Back to School Gear

This Gear Friday got mixed in with the Labor Day Sale, so ROBLOX didn't release many gears to fit the back to school theme. In fact, only two gears were released - PE Whistle and Book Worm. Both gears have unique abilities.

PE Whistle

Mesh: The mesh is amazing. It looks EXACTLY like a whistle - an opening to blow into, another opening for the sound to come out, and a large circular back part. There is also a chain where the coach would tie it to his/her necklace. This mesh deserves a 10/10 by far.

Texture: Just like the mesh, the texture is also amazing. The colors and textures fit perfectly into the mesh of a whistle. It is almost perfect besides the plain looking ring, but hey - it's still great, 9.5/10.

Price: This whistle is priced at 350 Robux. For once, ROBLOX actually got the price right. It's not overly expensive and not too cheap, as the gear is pretty cool and useful, 9.5/10.

Ability: This whistle is surprisingly deadly, not just a whistle that you click for a nice sound. When you click, you select a target and blow the whistle. Then, tons of dodgeballs fly towards the target, dealing 34 damage per hit. 10/10.

Book Worm

Mesh: The mesh looks really nice, and very cute. It's a worm with a graduation cap, glasses, large eyes an eyebrows, and a mouth that's wide open. It's head is larger than it's tail, and it's tail curves around so the end is facing forward. All in all, it looks great, earning a 10/10.

Texture: The texture really adds to the gear nicely. The graduation cap is purple with nice shadows, and has a yellow string hanging off of it with a pretty sloppy texture on it. The worm itself is a very light shade of orange/tan, with orange stripes along it. It's eyes are brown, and has a realistic mouth. Besides the string, it really looks nice and well done - 9.5/10.

Price: The worm is overpriced at 300 Robux. It's only real purpose is to troll others with all of the holes in the ground, and it's kind of buggy as I'll explain below. It's really only worth 100-200 Robux, so I'm giving the price an 8/10.

Ability: This gear isn't that useful. When you click, a black dot appears on the ground where you click. Then, you click again and another black spot appears. When you jump into one black spot, your body glitches out, and my backpack got reset to it's original gears. After a few moments of having no character, you get flung out the other hole. You can create up to ten holes, and each lasts three minutes. Though well scripted, it's pretty buggy and useless - 6/10.
